Amazingly beautiful scenery. But be sure you get there and do what you want before 6pm! They close and lock the gates at 6pm no matter who is locked inside lol. Worth the trip though!!

Well, it's a rain forest and it rained on us. Still gorgeous and it explains how it stays so green! Once it cleared up again we hiked the short trail, both up and down, and some jumped into the stream for the full experience. It's...More

Found this gem as we were driving around Maui. Very serene and beautiful. Pathway winds up to a small overlook with the most amazing vista. It was very misty the day we went, but it added something special to the place.

Pretty valley with nice views of stream and Iao Needle. Just as interesting is the historical significance of the valley. Some of the paths can be slippery after a rain and could be closed for safety reasons, even so, worth the visit.

We drove up from the beach areas and loved this park. It is small but worth a look. The 130 steps were not too rough. We also walked down in the garden area. Everything was beautiful. The bathrooms are still closed but the porta potties...More

Even though the weather was overcast, we had extra time as we approached the airport and are so glad we stopped at Iao Valley. There's a $5 fee to park in the parking lot, unless you want to walk a little ways. The only trail...More

I did not understand what this was. It's basically a stop with a little hike and pretty scenery, but well worth the time. There is an easy walk up to the monument (and I am not an athlete). There's a pretty stream, interesting history and...More

We tried to go here on a Monday but it was raining so hard that we did not stay. We returned on a Wednesday and it was only a little drizzly, but the needle is only a short walk from the parking lot and is...More

We failed to read previous TripAdvisor reviews before driving there, big mistake. By all means, park outside. Told the lady at the booth she should have the decency to tell the public that all trekking paths were closed before collecting the 5$ nonresident parking fee....More

I hear it is still closed from December floods but cannot be definitive on this. Iao Valley did not really have a "real hike" in it as it is more like 0.25 round trip. It has a little vertical but mostly is a beautiful... More
