    Fun Tour!
This plantation was on our way to the airport. Needed to kill some time before our flight so we stopped here. Found out I like fresh coconut (thought I hated coconut in all forms), and learned a lot. The shops are cute and the restaurant has good food!

    Well worth a visit!
The tour was very informative. We got to see so many fruit trees and pineapple growing. We were surprised how many fruits were not native to Maui. We had a wonderful lunch at Cafe O’Lei. The best food so far this trip! We will be back for sure.

    Wheelchair Friendly Fun
My mom is wheelchair bound. We went on the tour and she enjoyed the tram ride. The entire place was extremely beautiful. Our guide was funny and filled with Aloha Spirit. Bring a little cash to purchase jewelry made by Plantation Mike from sea glass (he’s not equipped to accept credit.) We were able to wheel my mom around the paths with ease and enjoyed the market because there was ample space for her in the wheelchair. She was able to enjoy shopping with us for local treats. We had lunch at cafe O’Lei and it was delicious. After we shopped a bit we enjoyed a coffee in the cafe. Definitely recommend it! We all thought it was gorgeous.

    Beautiful Tropical Escape
The tour around the plantation was amazing and informative. The shops around are adorable and have so much fun stuff! Coffee shop was awesome! The only thing we missed was the restaurant but definitely will be doing that our next trip. Fun to feed the ducks and see all the fish too.

    Nice tour
It was a very nice tour. We learned a lot about the various fruits that grow on the plantation, along with some of the plants. My kids enjoyed watching the coconut husking and cracking demonstration, and got to smell and feel the fresh coconut. We ate at the restaurant - which had a fantastic view - and the food was delicious. Overall, a nice experience.

    Highly recommend! A lovely oasis
Beautiful place. I love the way they used industrial equipment and building parts as sculptures in landscaping and indoor/outdoor decor. The tour was fun and informative. The food in Cafe was the best we have had in Maui. All staff members from tour, to stores, to restaurant were friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were a group of 9 including my father in a wheelchair and my mother with cane ( both in their 80s). A perfect day for all of us.

    Great!
We first stopped at the restaurant for lunch before our tour. Our view was in front of the lake and mountains and what an amazing view. We then toured the beautiful property a little before our tour started. The train tour was great and very informative and a lot of fun. So glad we did this. Thank you!

    Beautiful place
We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the plantation as a family activity and very much enjoyed dinner at the restaurant afterwards. The grounds are beautiful and the tour was informative and the guide comical and engaging. We were happy to experience another part of the island and will definitely be back!

Maui Tropical Plantation was recommended to us as a nice lunch stop on our drive back toward Lahaina from the north side of the island. We are so glad we stopped! The lunch at Cafe Ole was fantastic. The drinks were delicious and the views of the valley and mountains were beautiful. They have a nice gift shop and market and other buildings with crafts, a zip line and plantation tour. We didn't have time to fully explore but will be sure to stop again on our next trip to Maui.

The Maui Tropical Plantation is a small attraction in the area of the Maui airport. We went to see what it was all about. It had a small tram trip around the grounds and a coconut husking demo. Not the type of thing we would go out of our way again for.

We stopped here on our way to the airport and really wished we’d had more time! We took the Plantation Tour (40 minutes) and learned all about the agricultural history of Hawaii. There is also Ziplining, a few restaurants, and gift shops. It was a great way to explore the island beyond the beaches!

Looking for a break from the beach, we took the kids for a lovely and delicious lunch at the Cafe (reservations strongly recommended) and had a great time feeding baby ducks, watching turtles and night herons in the pond. The tram tour is relaxing and the best part is visiting Dale Zarrella’s incredible sculpture studio! Who knew a world-famous artist was working right here? Such a kind person, he took a moment to talk to everyone on the tour and answer questions about his work for the Vatican. Great for kids!

We really enjoyed our tour of the plantation. It was super neat learning about the Hawaiin plants. We did the last tour of the day, but by the time we got back, the market was closing in 10 minutes, so I wish we had more time there. Overall, it was an awesome time.

What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. My 2 year old grandson loved the tram ride. Feeding the ducks and lunch at the Cafe. So did his mom and I. Feeding the ducks and fish were a hightlight for him. Unfortunately my grandson was running and tripped. He ended up with a "toddler fracture" on his left tibia which led to an unexpected ER visit and a full leg cast. Even so we will be back.

What could be more tantalizing - to see and taste a bounty of yummy tropical fruit in beautiful Maui!
While our tour was generally interesting, and the guide entertaining, we were disappointed that most of the tour time was spent at a coconut husking demonstration (when MTP does not actually grow any coconuts) and no samples were offered of Maui's tasty treats. We would have been happy to pay more to enjoy the flavours of Hawaii and not just have them pointed out in the distance.

Ii have been on the tour several times and despite it not being amusement park quality, it was informative, relaxing and enjoyable. This is the first time I was disappointed. First off, our guide wore a mask even though we were outside and a good distance from her. It was almost impossible to understand anything she said.with the mask on and she spoke very fast. I felt more time was spent plugging local businesses than giving information about the plants and crops. I am sorry to say I cannot recommend this to vacationing guests at our condo and friends.
