It was so relaxing to see the turtles beached up and sleeping. There's something therapeutic about watching turtles come in and go out from the shore...

Near mile marker #9 on Hana Road. This lookout does not offer much more than the many other lookouts in Hawaii. You can stop for a quick look if you are not in a hurry but if you miss it you won't have miss much.

Great spot to sit on the beach with a drink and watch the surfers and the turtles. We did this after our road to Hana Drive. Highly recommend.

Spent a few hours here on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of surfers and windsurfers to watch. Washrooms, outdoor shower, picnic tables under shade. Small beach to walk on.

We remembered stopping here to watch the windsurfers 25 years ago and had an enjoyable stop here a couple of days ago. We parked in the upper lot and stood by the rail viewing the colorful windsurfers who looked like butterflies dancing on the water....More

On our adventure down the Road to Hana, we stopped here at 6am to see the kiters but only saw surfers. On our way back ( 4pm), there was limited parking and tons of people still pouring in looking for spots. Lots of surfers, hydrosurfs,...More

This is a decent sized beach, a lot of wind surfers out on the waves and children playing in the surf. The best part was watching dozens and dozens of turtles come ashore! By the time we left, there were over 50, in the far...More

Facilities were a little dirty but the turtles on the beach were a spectacular sight! So glad our Temptation Tour to Hana offered to stop on our way back!

Located just east of Paia along the Hana Highway this beach is not very wide, but long equipped with cabanas, restrooms and showers. Parking at times is problematic due to its popularity. This beach is lifeguarded. In addition, the east end of the beach is...More

As many have stated it would seem that dusk (just prior to sunset) seems to be when you are most likely to see turtles in great numbers. However, I think that there are some on the beach at any time during the day.

Delayed answer. The surfing app question has been answered quite well. Surfers are there whenever the wind is blowing, which is all of the time. This is one of the VERY best wind surfing beaches in the world. The greatest... More
