We took a hike with Randy over the Christmas holiday upon recommendations from Tripadvisor. The hike was very informative and a perfect length for out 14-year-old daughter who isn't much of a hiker. Randy made the time extremely informative and was very attentive to those in the group who might struggle. Furthermore, he provided a wealth of local Hawaiian knowledge... More

Randy was knowledgeable, safety conscious, and friendly. My wife and I and our two children were immediately comfortable with him. Also, I asked him many questions concerning the history, geology, and societal / economic issues of Maui (off topic from hiking, for sure) and he almost always had very detailed answers. The man has a passion for Maui. Even though... More

Randy is extremely knowledgeable about Maui's history, natural resources, and flora and fauna. This was such a fun experience, my husband and I truly found it to be one of the best things about our week on Maui. Not for the faint of heart, you will be crossing rivers and streams, you will get wet, and you will get dirty.... More

My husband and I signed up for a half day Haleakala Waterfall Hike with Randy while on our honeymoon. We both wish we had signed up for a full-day! The hike was not overly strenuous but a legitimate hike involving dirt paths and some mud (which in my opinion is a part of what hiking is!). We met up with... More

If you do not know where to go to find excellent places to hike, Randy is awesome. He has different tours rated from easy to extreme, and knows his way around the trails. My husband and I had a blast, and though I had to do the easy hike, due to knee physical therapy earlier this year, he was very... More

We've been to Maui a few times before and spent plenty of time in the water, on the beach, biking or hiking the volcano and driving to Hana. This time we wanted to do some hiking and see some little known sites. I started doing web searches on hiking Maui and it seemed for a while that there was only... More

This was one of the best parts of our vacation. Wanting to get some exercise during our vacation we decided to do a full day hike. We chose the rain forest hike in the morning and waterfall hike in the afternoon. What a pleasant surprise to have a small group totaling three. Upon reaching our destination we quickly disappeared into... More

On a recent 10 day trip to Hawaii (Oahu & Maui), one of our favourite activities was our Maui West Waterfall hike with Maui Hiking Safaris. This was awesome for lots of reasons -- first off, it was a wonderful way to get right into the lush landscape that is Maui. We hiked through so much greenery, alongside beautiful streams... More

Randy was a great guide on the Western Maui Waterfall hike. Not only did he make sure everyone was safe and comfortable on the hike, but he also kept everyone entertained with different stories from the island as well as explaining the local plants/animals/geography. This hike is off the beaten path, a true hike and not just a walk on... More

Enjoyed the hike. Randy was very knowledgeable about the area and the island history. The hike was filled with a lot of narrative, which made the experience all the more interesting for us. Fun hike, great experience.
