- Escape393627687022 contributionsSuper fun for kids! This was the most interactive petting zoo we’ve been to! We got to hold bunnies and guinea pigs. We fed mini horses and pigs, and my son’s favorite was brushing the goats and holding “Peter Rabbit.” He also loved all the chickens and cats. A great sensory experience, lots of dirt and just a good time for a little boy. Worth the drive if you have small children. I really appreciated the kindness and felt very welcome.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 10 October 2023
- Stacy PRancho Cucamonga, California5 contributionsBest farm in MauiDirections were very clear to the farm. Host was exceptional. Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We were all adults and had a blast. Lots of opportunities to pet, hold, brush and feed multiple animals. Recommend tennis shoes as walking is required. Beautiful views and a very calming experience .Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 December 2023
- Veronica C2 contributionsHighly recommend! We really enjoyed visiting Maui Animal Farm and meeting Farmer Heidi and all of the different animals on the farm. We had a lot of interactions with guinea pigs, ducks, chickens, roosters, donkeys, horses, tortoises, pigs. Farmer Heidi told us about the history of the farm and where the animals came from. Highly recommended for anyone who loves animals!Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 2 January 2024
- Dina S1 contributionAmazing time at the farmThank you Heidi for such an amazing experience at the farm. Your dedication, smile, and storytelling made this visit so memorable, and we had a great time making friends with the animals. A must-do on the island, especially with a curious toddler.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 10 April 2024
- Heidi H5 contributionsA fun filled time for all ages!Really enjoyed meeting Heidi and learning about all the animals on the Maui Farm, but getting to cuddle with her furry friends was the best. Want to lower your blood pressure? Just sit down and she'll place a guinea pig or soft bunny on your lap and you're relaxed before you know it. All the children had a great time, but don't be afraid to let your own inner child out for a spell. Feeding lettuce and carrots to a goat, donkey, miniature horse, pig or tortoise puts a smile on your face no matter how hard you resist it!Visited April 2024Travelled soloWritten 21 April 2024
- mtbean17 contributionsKids’ favorite place to visitWe went twice in the same month bc once one of my kids went, I had to bring the other Both said it was their favorite part of their trip (6&10) The animals are wonderful and accessible, they completely won over my kids. The location had beautiful views and Heidi, the owner, clearly loves her animals and sharing their delights with the kids. She was also so helpful and flexible when we were in a tight spot. We will be likely going back annually to visit the animals. Definitely a business I want to repeatedly support!Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 5 May 2024
- Michelle C.10 contributionsFun experience at the farmFarmer Heidi was great. She told us stories of how each animal came to her farm. The kids loved holding the animals. Such a good experience for the whole family. The proceeds go to the care of the animals. It is used for therapy too. Such a nice place all round. We hung around after the tour and spoke to Heidi 1on 1. She let us name the duckling she rescued and the kids loved that. Say hi to Sunshine the duckling if you plan on going ☺️Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 4 August 2024

We went for the evening feeding time and the kids loved Farmer Heidi and all the stories she had about all her animals as she walked us through her petting farm. And cant forget to mention, the view is amazing!Visited September 2024Travelled with familyWritten 11 September 2024

My husband and I took our 21 month old daughter here while on our vacation. She was timid at first but Farmer Heidi was so great, personable and passionate. She let us hold a rabbit, guinea pig, baby chick and brush the goats which made my daughter open up more.
Great experience feeding the animals.

I highly suggest Maui Animal farm for little ones! We took our 10yo daughter for her birthday and we all had a blast interacting and learning about the animals. My almost 2 year old enjoyed brushing the friendly goat brothers, named Ben and Jerry, petting and feeding the Rabbits and Guinea pig, walking and hand feeding the baby goat named Blackberry. Feeding carrots to the donkey and pony and many pigs! The tortoise were also fun to watch them race. Farmer/Cowgirl Heidi was full of love and compassion for her animals and her guests, we will be back soon for sure! Be sure to wear your closed toe shoes and pack your bikinis for after to jump in the ocean!

My daughter has recently become obsessed with farms and horses...so spur of the moment we booked a tour.
We had a blast. All the animals and fun facts. The little side activities for kids and how they are allowed to participate in feedings. It was just wonderful.
Heidi, the owner, has really put something special together up on the hill and we are just so happy to have been able to spend a morning with her and her animals.
We will definitely be returning and I recommend this to anyone who has an affinity for animals. ❤️

We visited Maui Animal farm just last week for a bit of a change in pace from the other days we had in Maui and we figured out toddler would enjoy it. The party included our toddler, our 15 year old son, my wife and I. There really was something for everyone, our toddler loved the horse. My wife was into the baby goats. Our oldest really got a kick out of holding the baby chicks. Personally I was into the pigs.
Upon arrival the farm itself appears to be small and quaint but once you start walking around you realize just how many animals and how much space there really is. Heidi the guide is very sweet and quite a bit of fun. She has interesting stories for each animal and knows quite a bit about their physiology as well.
Everyone had a good time, I would certainly return.
Bonus: The farm has a sprawling and uninterrupted view of the ocean. Nice.

Visiting Maui Animal Farm was one of my daughters' favorite experiences during our vacation in Maui. They got to hold bunnies, baby chicks, guinea pigs, TORTOISES! You name it! The entire atmosphere is incredibly laid back and quaint, and you can feel the love that Heidi, the owner and operator, has for this place. We were thrilled with our visit, and we will be sure to return if we are fortunate enough to be back in Maui!

Best farm experience we've had! We came here with our 2 kids (1 and 5 yrs) and they absolutely loved it! They got to pet, feed and even wash the pigs! Heidi was an absolute delight! Super sweet, knowledgeable and had a genuine passion for her animals and her community. The land that the farm was on was also breathtaking, which was just the icing on the cake. Highly recommended!!

We traveled to Maui for a week and out of all our activities, this was one of our favorites! Heidi was so wonderful and the only work I can think of to describe her is jolly -- she is so happy and loves to laugh. You can see how much she loves the animals and the farm. We arrived early but she welcomed us in anyway while she prepped for the tour. We held bunnies and chicks, pet the goats, fed vegetables to many animals, sprayed down the pigs, had a tortoise race, and it was amazing. She brought some water bottled and fruit snacks for kids and adults too. If I'm going to spend money somewhere, I'd prefer it to go to a small business and not a corporation. We stayed late as well to chat with Heidi. This is an absolute must-see!

Visited here with my 7 and 5 yr old grandchildren.
We fed sheep, goats, horses, cows, pigs and birds. We held and feed rabbits and guinea pigs. They caught fish in a small pond. We saw and touched a 40yr old tortoise.
We walked amongst these animals and learned about how they came to be in HI.
The woman who guided us was exceptional with the kids!
It was amazing! I strongly recommend you do this while visiting Maui!

Heidi, the owner, is genuinely kind and passionate about caring for these beautiful animals! From the moment we arrived we were so warmly welcomed and that welcome and gratitude for coming continued throughout our visit. We started the tour feeding chickens, ducks and a gorgeous friendly turkey. We held rabbits, ducklings, guinea pigs and Friendly Fred, the rooster. We brushed goats, fed baby goats, donkeys, horses, pigs, and tortoises who followed me all around the enclosure because I had fake flowers on my flip flops! That was hilarious!!! Heidi is an amazing person. She has a special place in heaven for rescuing and giving great care to all of these animals. Mahalo. Mahalo.

I see online that reservations are required and fees are $25 and $20 for adults and kids. Is it only for a tour or can you drop in for just a visit without a tour?
Written 10 March 2019
I believe advanced reservations are required.

I saw the review where the person was scared of the unmuzzled dog. I love big dogs. Is there a way we can request your daughter bring her big wonderful dog when my husband and I come visit? :-D
