Beautiful Views

This was a quick little trail, mostly flat, partly in full sun. Views or the Ohai "sacred pools" which you can't not access anymore due to the risk of injury and flash flooding.

The views are nice, the hike is pretty easy..... With seeing the views, you would think it would be great for photos. However the vantage points and made it tough. You need a wide angle lens to take it all in, but then are too far from most of what you want to capture so it doesn't work either...... I... More

This is a perfect place for non hikers and novices to step out and take an easy trek to some STUNNING views! As always make sure you wear the proper footwear and attire for whatever season you are here. The weather is great year round and this is a place where the reward at the end of this short hike... Have been here in 2013 and 2017 and both times was a very peaceful and scenic walk offering great views. Takes a good drive from Lahaina to get here as you don't reach this point until you're past Hy. 30 onto Hy. 340 and it's even farther than the Nakalele Blowhole. This means there aren't many other people out and... More

Stopped here on our way back for Julia's Banana Bread, went to the top view point first where you can see the Napili Blow hole to the Northwest. On the way back to the car we decided to put on our shoes and hike the 1.2 mile O'hai Loop Trail. We took the first left fork which takes you closer... More

We had been to the Blowhole and stopped a little further along the road to find this gem. Short cliff top walk 1.2 miles and not difficult. Several helpful info plaques describing the areas geology and plants

This trail is simple but it is way up on the north shore a winding 20 to 25 MPH drive along the spectacular north shore. Very limited parking but we rarely see more than 1 0r 2 others there when we go. Go CCW at the starts and you se better views as you are walking. Stop at the top... More

After 5 days of rain, we escaped into the outdoors and did a bit of hiking. The Ohai Loop Trail is a nice little (1.2 mile) hike with great views of the north Maui shoreline. We did the loop clockwise and the views on the first half were great. We got some pictures of the rugged north Maui shoreline. The... More

It's another coastal view. Unfortunately we had some and and therefore the trail was too slippery, so we just had the outlook. But anyway, it's just a view such as many others.

I did the complete loop but I was expecting something more. It involves a lot of walking pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There are a few good spots near the ocean. A bench was a welcome bonus. But compared to the nearby exciting but challenging trails to the Nakalele blowhole and the Olivine pools, the Ohai trail is... More
