Loved the show with four musicians and Wainane dancing hula. Though they tried to explain what "slack key" is I'm still not sure I understand though. The setting is gorgeous in a very high end resort with lovely grounds and a very good restaurant (don't need to get the package; just go to the restaurant and order off the menu).

If you love Hawaiian music, don't miss this show. The night we went, it featured a series three musicians, each telling stories and playing ukulele or guitar, then a brief intermission followed by a jam session with four musicians. Several of the numbers included a lovely hula dancer. The jam session was the best part--the place really rocked! A few... More

This is an intimate show with exceptional musicians, story tellers, and dancers. It was a wonderful introduction to Hawaiian music history and culture. An enjoyable evening.

We loved this show, it was great to see authentic Hawaiian music being performed. I want this to continue! However, beware it's a very "senior citizen" audience in folding chairs in a giant tent (at a beautiful resort...could be utilized better?) It was just a little "too rustic" and would have loved a little more Hawaiian hospitality and heck, a... More

Wonderful guitar music by George Kahumoku jr and his guest master Nathan Aweau, who created fantastic sounds on his hot electric guitar--great enthusiastic crowd and glad we got there when doors opened to get good seat. Stopped at nearby Sea House restaurant to have a drink and quick bite before show--excellent evening!!

First, the music was great. The headliner/Master was gifted and the "jam" session was exceptional. And the price is right. Bring an extra $20 and go home with a CD. I went into the show expecting a nightclub atmosphere. It is more of a concert setting. Rows of chairs instead of tables. Free flavored cold water. No alcoholic drinks. It... More

I was turned on to slack key guitar mid 2016. I took my wife and another couple to the show, but was concerned they wouldn't be as enthusiastic about the show. The first half was more traditional but I loved it. The second half they broke things loose. All felt it was a very entertaining show.

This was the first thing we did after landing in Maui. My husband loves guitar, so we just had to do it. We were so impressed by the featured guitarist, but we fell in love with their voices too. Such a treat to witness such talent, and it really gets you feeling the Aloha vibe. :)

This is a great presentation of traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music. The musicians vary each week. We were very pleased with the 3 outstanding musicians who performed the night we were there. This is a relaxed show that shares bits of Hawaiian culture and humor along with beautiful music. I would attend this show every week if I lived in... More

We weren't familiar with the artists in the Slack show. We went based on reviews and needing something to do. It was a nice show. The artists are very talented and we loved the last thirty minutes when they all played together.
