Horse back riding at the Ironwood ranch in Maui is a trail that weaves through 1500 acres of fallow land. Full of the ironwood pines the trail is interesting and treacherous because of rain which makes the hill side slippery. Our guide was knowledgeable and very cautious. Over all it is a great activity and really worth the time and... More

One of our favourite activities for my wife and me whenever we visit Hawaii is to go horse riding on a ranch . Ironwood came highly recommended and we visited it. It was overall a good experience what I liked was how all the horses had these celebrity names.. But what it lacks are the overall experience that you get... More

Love this ranch and the staff are fabulous! Easy to find with lots of parking. Gorgeous views on our ride and the horses were perfect and easy to ride. Dani was our guide and I highly recommend her. Only comment...if you make a reservation, be on time because it's inconsiderate to keep others and the staff waiting. Looking forward to... More

My equestrian daughter did not want to ride here because of how they cared for the horses - try Lahaina Stables instead!

There are only a few places to ride horses on Maui and I would say this is the best and most convenient to get to. The horses are all named after celebs (Charlize Theron, George Clooney) because I think they don't really know what their names are. The woman said "they were a fresh bunch" when we asked about it.... More

We own a horse farm at home yet still go on these guided tours to see parts of land difficult to see on foot and hear the history and wildlife facts. Most of the time the horses are old and sluggish...stubborn but safe. Usually a retired or rescue horse. These horses are beautiful, active, well trained, and safe horses loved... More

I've never really been on a horse before but this sounded fun. The horses were great and you could tell they were well cared for. Our guide Gina was funny and personable and definitely added to our ride. Scenery was spectacular! Definitely worth the money. I'm glad I chose Hawaii to be my first time on a horse!

Due to the recent rains, we had to cut our 90 min reservation down to 60 mins. We received in writing to take back to our hotel a refund slip for the difference. Our tour guide Josie, was great. She kept things going smoothly and we left knowing more about the area and the horses than we did before we... More

This experience was for our 7 year old daughter who loves horses. Not a whole lot different from your typical trail horse ride, but the views were pretty impressive. The staff was very nice and pointed out interesting points and facts about the island. They have a large variety of fruit trees on the ranch that we checked out after... More

We had a group of 6 family members from highly advanced to very novice and young. It was truly a memory type of family adventure. The experienced enjoyed as well as the very young. We were teamed up with Josea. She was awesome. She kept us informed of the trail ahead as well as the surrounding scenery. She had a... More
