Ultimate Whale Watch specializes in photographic, non-threatening...

Ultimate Whale Watch specializes in photographic, non-threatening close-encounters with Dolphins, Whales & Turtles since 1982. We have hosted film crews from National Geographic to BBC Wildlife. Operating within the Hawaiian Island Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary, we depart from historic Lahaina Town, Maui. From December through May, Humpback Whale encounters are guaranteed and the crystalline offshore waters frequently provide a passing subsurface eye-to-eye view. Many people are truly touched by their experience amongst these intelligent giants.

Tour sizes are for small group whale encounters, 18 or less on a 24 passenger raft style rescue boat. Great maneuverability and speed get you to some of the closest whale action possible, in the world! To ensure current and competent information, the crew is involved with whale research and highly passionate about the whales.

We invite you to come and see for yourself, one of the last remaining great migrations of the Animal Kingdom. And as always, a portion of each ticket sold supports whale research on Maui. Thank you for helping make a difference.

Ultimate Whalewatch offers good and valuable trips in rip boats for small groups. Thet have several tours during the day but I would recommend the early morning trips going out with the sunrise. Trips last for 2 hrs and start at Lahaina pier. We saw a lot of humperback whales and captain and guide did a great job. Only missed... More

We went out with Amy and Ben and had breathtaking encounters with the humpbacks. Beautiful mammals and Amy and Ben kept us well informed about the goings on. We will go with this company again. We have gone on many whale watches before, but in these calm waters the zodiac raft is the way to go. 🐳🐳🐳🌴🌈🏄🏾🐋

After Whale Watching in Vancouver, our expectation of seeing anything other than a couple of spouts and a few humps and tails. We were pleased to see alot of whales almost the entire time out. We saw mom and baby, alot of flukes and fins, and a couple of breaches. Loved the small raft-like boat and the capt. was able... More

We went on the 8:45 trip and it was amazing! Smaller boat makes for great seats and speed while searching for whales. We saw lots and had one swim under our boat! Along with a special surprise of seeing spotted dolphins. Captain Ryan was great

Saw many whales including a mama and baby whale. The captain knew where to go and made this 2 hour tour go fast. First time in the islands. This was a special highlight. Wish I had a better camera as my photos were taken with my phone. They jump so quickly it was hard to catch really good photos. I... More

We took our family (12) on an afternoon Whale Watch. Tiffany was our captain Again She had us on whales in 10 minutes. The raft is the way to go Much faster. Whales very active so many we had to keep changing sides. The raft is very steady. Not a bad seat. We booked a private whale watch. Plus saw... More

Very professional & organized excursion. Captain Ryan & MJ made this a great experience in my quest to see a whale breach!! The smaller raft (as opposed to a boat) made the event much more personal & enjoyable. Beware of "specials" for a cheaper price...you get what you pay for. Thanks for a great outing!!

We did a 2 hour whale watching tour over the Christmas holidays. It's the very start of the whale watching season, so we weren't sure we would see many whales. We saw plenty. We had a couple of whales come right up next to our boat and "roll over" and look at us. One of them swam back and forth... More

This whale watching was the best. It was so good, we went twice! We saw multiple whales on each Expedition! The naturalists were great and very informative. Well worth the money and you get a Discount on the second trip!

We went out with Rachel and Amy and had one of the greatest sight seeing tour of our lives. We saw about 20 breaches, two whales swimming under our boat, a baby whale, a dolphin, tons of tails and fins and water spooting. It was amazing. I'm no expert but I doubt every tour can match what we saw, but... More
