At Wailele Polynesian Luau dinner show, guests will embark on an exciting journey to the Polynesian Islands where dance was considered not just as a form of entertainment, but as a means of telling stories. Recognized for providing an award-winning experience, the luau is held oceanfront at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa and features dances and songs from old and modern Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, New Zealand (Maori), Tonga and Samoa. Highlights include the story of Pele (Goddess of Fire), Hi'ilave Hula Awana dedicated to Wailele (meaning waterfalls) and Maui's most extreme fire knife dance finale called "Siva Afi". The unforgettable evening of fun, culture and entertainment is complemented by a traditional dinner served buffer style and selection of beverages.

I would only recommend this luau for a family with small children. The jokes were corny, and it was very hard to understand what the emcee was saying from our table near the back. They welcome you with a shell lei and cocktail. The food...More

We've been coming to the Hawaiian Islands every year for the past 10 years. We've attended a luau at each visit. This was by far the worst luau we've ever been to. Most Luau's provide fresh flower leis when you enter and take your photo....More

Attended the Luau tonight and found it to be okay. The food was good but the selection of items was limited. The service was okay. While the dancers were good,I found many of the performances/routines to be a little cheesey. The emcee was often garbled...More

This luau has premium seating for extra $20/person, but you can be in good seats if you arrive a little early and wait in the line. They seat premium first. Cocktails are ready as you walk in with a few fruity options. My husband doesn't...More

Over the years we have attended a number of luaus, and they are no longer much of a draw for us. But this trip included our two 12-year-old grandduaghters and we thought they should experience a luau. This turned out to be a great decision....More

The food was very good, however, the ventilation in the pavilion was almost non-existent--no breezes so it was very hot. The dancers were very good and the fire show was outstanding!
