This was one of my favorite days, of course waking up early is a struggle but the sunrise is most definitely worth it. It was gorgeous, breath taking and worth the wait. Make sure to check whether ahead of time to know that it's not...More

My Bride and I had only a week to explore and enjoy Maui. We did our recon and selected what we felt was the best of the best to visit during our island jaunt. We have traveled all over the USA and visited numerous National...More

It looked like it was going to be a cloudy day but when we got above the clouds it was beautiful. Definitely bring layer of clothing because temps changed throughout our hike in the Crater. We did the sliding sands hike to split rock based...More

Do not miss this if you go to Maui - this is a huge must see adventure. But take a tour since it picks you up at 2:30 am!

We booked the sunrise over haleakala. What a beautiful morning. It is cold and windy in the morning so make sure to bring a jacket and gloves. Well worth getting up early for.

We hiked a 7 mile trrail and it was breathtaking. Worth it. The Redwoods were amazing, and if you love birds, then this is perfect. Great trip.

This was a fascinating experience. The road leads up to just over 10,000 feet. The flora changed from lush and green to that resembling a moon scape. From there one has views all round, but for us the highlight was to walk inside the crater....More

Went to the summit today and it was a waste of time. Cold 46° degrees, heavy mist and summit visitors center was closed. The rangers should have warned visitors to the conditions before taking the money. Check their webcam before driving up.... Look at this...More

This will take the best part of a day to do. It is worth it. The views are unbelievable. Prepare yourself for the cooler temperatures and heavier breathing at the higher altitudes. Many trails to hike, some simple, some tough.

I did it in a convertible camaro, jeeps are best but you will see lots of convertibles. Most cars will be fine.
