Snorkeling 2-3 days, parking good if you go in am ,washrooms and outdoor shower off. Has lifeguards that announce danger for us tourists.

The best beach around Maui is Kaanapali Beach to the northwest of the island. It is long, wide and sometimes has wildlife basking on the sand. All other beaches are smaller with sometimes less fine sand but occasionally better snorkeling due to the more frequent rocky outcrops framing them.

I've been here multiple times over the years and always love it. It can be "touristy" but that doesn't matter to me. The water is warm and soft, waves are minimal (usually), sand is lovely, and occasionally there are sea turtles that hang out nearby. This is one of my favorite spots to swim, but I love all of the Kamaole beaches. And the expansive stretch of lawn just above this beach is also a great place to hang out, and a perfect spot to set up an evening picnic and watch the sunset. Maui is magic!

Beach is lovely but was completely packed by 10am on a weekday. Water appears clear and there was a crowd of snorklers. There are parking options in the lot or semi-nearby on the street. Facilities are decent. Not enough space for us to find a spot, so we ended up going to another beach further north which was more peaceful. If you don't mind a crowd, this beach is otherwise very pretty. Go early!

This was our first night in Maui, and we walked from our Airbnb to the beach to enjoy sunset. We sat and enjoyed seeing whales, and the gorgeous sunset. There weren’t a ton of people on the beach either so it was peaceful. We really liked staying in Kihei close to this beach so we could walk here at night to see the sunset.

Seemed like more local hangout spot than tourists at the picnic tables (almost like a communal living room). Available parking, showers, restrooms, shady grass areas. but the vibe was not as sparkly/tourtisy: some loud locals with open beer, speakers, smoking and weed.

Big grassy park next to beach access. Lots of picnic tables. Shore line was spacious and good for swimming. Easy access to bathroom and rinse shower. Good size parking lot but does fill up on the weekend but there is also decent street parking.

If you’re staying near here, you won’t need to venture any further. We’ve been to Maui twice and have been recommended MANY beaches, but we really enjoyed our lovely, local Kam 3. If you catch some calm weather, go down early and snorkel from the furthest south section. You’re likely to see some fish and turtles (Ulua Beach is better for snorkeling but it’s also crowded). If you like to bodyboard, head to the main beach area. There’s a lifeguard, block of toilets, outside showers, and a huge lawn that has the perfect view for watching the sunset. There’s also plenty of parking if you are staying further away. A top fave spot.

It is a small beach but the park above has a lot of area as well as a lot of shade. The beach area is rocky, so be careful where you go in.

Our children loved boogie boarding here. The lifeguard at the tower helped keep people safe. The shallow sandy bottom made swimming and boogie boarding fun.
