Great place to golf on Maui! Very friendly staff and well maintained greens. Also very good food at the restaurant there.

I've played the Dunes a number of times over the years, and every time I play it, I like it better. If you're looking for the well manicured, high end conditioning, this ain't it. The conditioning is OK, but not top shelf, but the layout is great. It's got all kinds of holes, and the three turn holes-9,10,11- are as... More

A very friendly course. My husband and I played as a twosome in three hours. No one in front of us nor behind us. Many locals. Course in great shape except for a few of the greens which are being redone. A nice change of pace from the high end resort courses.

Received two free rounds as part of a charity package and only survived 11 holes. Blind tee shots to barren fairways for a blind approach shot to a temporary green. Odd that they call them greens since four of the first five greens were dirt and thus, brown. Old gas carts that spew smoke. No marshalls on the course. Bad... More

this is a really pretty golf course. very nice lay out. the greens had just been punched a couple of weeks before we played it but you could still putt them. oh but that wind! when it's blowing it can move your ball 10 to 20 yards off line. think i'm kidding? try splitting the fairway and see where you... One thing that should never happen at a golf course is to discover AFTER paying fees that there's a problem with some of the greens and it has a couple temporary greens and a couple more that will need to be fixed. But this happened at the Dunes yesterday. Inexcusable. I've played here before but won't again.

We were greeted by friendly young guys at the starter's shed, and they were willing to provide us tips about blind shots, and hazards, but NOT so many as to overwhelm us . . . The course can play quickly; the scenery is beautiful; there are elevation changes; and, there are "shot making" challenges. Oh, and it is on Maui... More

If there was a "incomplete" rating, that's how I would rate our experience. We managed to get 4 holes in because we started early. Our tee time was 9am and we arrived at 8 to warmup at the practice range. However, it wasn't open yet for maintenance reasons. We considered having breakfast but was told the restaurant wasn't open yet.... More

I've played here several times over the past 15 years. It used to be a gorgeous course with great, lush conditions. Unfortunately, it wasn't the same yesterday. The best word I have to describe it is "Shabby." The tee boxes were chewed up and hardly had any grass on many of them. The fairways were dotted with 8" round dead... More

Played on a Thursday afternoon and for a resident rate of $40 it was in pretty good shape. The fairways were smooth but the greens looked like they had a weed problem which made them a little lumpy. But again, for $40 it can't be beat. Only regret was we didn't have time to try the Restruant which was packed... More
