Aloha and welcome to Mauis Garden Of Eden Arboretum. An Arboretum is a park...

Aloha and welcome to Mauis Garden Of Eden Arboretum. An Arboretum is a park dedicated to trees. We also feature hundreds of lowland rainforest species of flowers, shrubs, and ground covers as well.We began this project in1991 with 30 acres of densely overgrown jungle, now after investing more than 20yrs of physical labor and 2 million dollars, we have created one of Hawaii's most visited botanical gardens. We have many plants found nowhere else or are uncommon to Hawaii, such as rare Amazon fruits and medicinal species, endangered hardwoods, spice, exotic nut trees, ferns and so much more...A botanical Disneyland with over 2 miles of maintained graveled walking trails...A truly educational facility with over 700 plants botanically labeled. Try to allow at least 45 minutes to explore. We feature great views and photo opportunities but no direct access to the waterfall or pools. If you are only interested in restrooms (we now have improved facilities) You can do so for free 2 miles down the road.A portion of your entry fee is donated to the nature conservatory. The cost to keep our gate open averages $1,000/dy so we sincerely thank you for your support,,,especially those who have contributed beyond our entry fee. Most botanical gardens have teams of volunteers and use chemicals to curb costs. Our entire staff are well paid professionals, and we are almost entirely a chemical free park. Thank you for visiting, we do take your comments to heart

nice relaxing stop, beautiful garden, but pricey & not a must-do

It's a very picturesque spot, not to be missed on the road to Hana. Very well-kept. We took memorable pictures with peacock, ducks, ocean view and beautiful plants!

So, everything is expensive in Maui but even with that it seemed like this should be more in the $10 range. That said, they have done a great job with this place & we did not regret going. A large part of the appeal lies in the context: you're driving to Hana & a lot of the other stops are... More

If you take the road to Hana (which is a must-do in Maui) and you enjoy botanical gardens and leisurely strolls it is worth it. This place is privately run, well maintained hill-side garden with trails leading all over. It is best done walking and is in an area subject to 150" of rain on average per year. The trails... More

The best botanical gardens I've ever been to. You can tell it is well maintained. The duck pond is great (there are peacocks too!) and there are some great photo opps, besides the colorful plant life.

It's well cared for and it is beautiful. If you have already swallowed how expensive Maui is, then you may be inclined to pay the admission here. I'm not sure there is anything here that you can't see on your own.

A pretty tour that was easy to walk around and enjoy. Plants were labeled, which I appreciate since I'm into gardening. There were also peacocks on the property which was neat. You do need to pay for admittance, but it was worth it.

And we were pleasantly surprised. The plant life is very well maintained and makes a great stopover on the Road. Got rained on a lot, but it is of course expected on this side.

I have to say, the road to Hana is abundant with beauty but if you can find a space to park and enjoy it, then you're in luck. Unfortunately, I was struggling with car sickness and it was blessed relief that we came upon the Garden of Eden. Why is this place not promoted more? Yes, there is a fee,... More

The Garden of Eden is a must see stop on the road to Hana. Exotic birds, trees, flowers, etc. abound in this natural island setting. Alan Bradbury envisioned and created this beautiful garden that offers peaceful surroundings and breathtaking views.

We paid $15 per person. They told us they had a "driving trail". Where I come from I call that driving in parking lots. So basically we paid $30 to use clean restrooms. It's worth about $5.

Aloha Erica, We appreciate you visiting our garden, and for writing a review. We value our guest's experiences greatly, and are constantly looking for viable ways in which we can improve. We train our staff to effectively convey what we have to offer, which we assure you is much more than clean restrooms. The driving trail runs along the edge... More
