The Road to Hana is VERY narrow with many VERY narrow bridges meaning sometimes backing up. Some of the Road is even off limits to rented cars. So a tour of the Road to Hana provides great views for everyone. Some of the things one...More

The company we used was called Temptation Tours, they pick you up at your hotel in a luxury 8 person van including driver, the van made the drive so much more comfortable. We liked the idea of a small group, there were six of us,...More

We went through our timeshare and the tour was through Polynesian Adventure Tours. Very informative and we learned a lot about the history of the island, people, plants, etc. Our driver was Kane and he was great.

This road to Hana has over 2,000 turns and one lane bridges. If you get motion sickness you should take pills before you go in it. Very worth the adventure. You see lots of waterfalls and can make many stops along the way. They gave...More

The road to Hana has over 2,000 turns. Beautiful scenery but leave the driving to professionals. There is a spot to swim under wTer falls and go through a lava tube. If subject to motion sickness this is not for you!

While the drive to Hana is quite nice, I found the overall experience a bit overrated. If you are driving yourself, the road is quite scary and windy and induces motion sickness in many people (including myself). I would have rather spent the day exploring...More

No, most tour operators do not provide a one-way trip as you describe from the airport. There are may insurance/liability issues with your plan if I understand it correctly. You might be able to do a one-way rental and drop... More
