This was simply one of the best excursions I have ever done! I was a little nervous the day before but once we met Kimo and headed up the volcano, all my concerns evaporated. Kimo stopped a couple of times to let us experience delicious fruit and also for a wonderful photo opportunity. His knowledge of the island and culture was very much appreciated. Once we were on the bikes, it was an amazing thrilling ride down the volcano. We stopped at a lovely town, Makawao, for a lovely lunch and stroll through the shops. Bought a lovely print, some copper jewelry and tried some yummy cookies! The ride was both exhilarating and thrilling and yet I felt safe the entire time. Bikes are excellent quality with hydraulic brakes. Can’t wait to come back and do it again. Highly recommend!!

The trip was well organized. The staff was super friendly. They provided windbreaker and backpacks for the trip, which was very helpful. We did the self guided tour, which was sufficient (and better in my opinion since you can go on your own pace).

This was a highlight of our trip to Maui and we did a lot! I would recommend this to both adventure seekers and families alike. The tour guides have been doing this for years so they have everything planned out. When you’re up at the top of the volcano and that sun comes up you’ll be wowed and then the 23 mile downhill ride is just awesome! Our guide was a walking Encyclopedia of Maui history and shared some great nuggets of information throughout the trip. The beaches are great in Maui and adding this excursion certainly made the trip extra special. Keep up the good work team!

Not only did we have a wonderful trip to the top of the volcano for magnificent stargazing and spectacular sunrise, but Billy gave us a fabulous native- islander perspective on the preservation of the island's natural beauty and its unique challenges. The ride was as thrilling as you want to make it, or simply safe and leisurely. Absolutely beautiful!

I was glad that we did the morning trip rather than the sunrise trip. It was nice not to have to get up and get to Haiku so early, and we still had beautiful views of Haleakala. This is a two part tour. The first part is a bus tour up Haleakala where you get to walk around the crater and take photos. The second part is the bike trip down Haleakala. We considered some tours that just did the second part, but I was really glad we did the first part because it was cool to see the crater. We took some really great photos. Our guides for the both parts were very good. The bike ride down was very easy, because the van rode behind us and protected us from traffic (we pulled off to the side every now and then to let cars go by). Our guide went really slowly. My husband would have preferred the self-guided tour so he could go a little faster and stop whenever he wanted. This tour didn't provide any snacks or drinks so make sure you pack your own. We didn't have lunch until about 1:00pm when we were almost all the way down to Haiku. I wish I would have realized that we weren't going to eat until later, so I could have brought more snacks. Overall it was a great experience though.
