Great photo op, but there are many feral cats that have been dumped in the forest. It's so sad. We have done this drive before and remembered to purchase a bag of cat food in advance and bring it with us. This is the spot to leave it for the hungry and abandoned cats. And please call and encourage the... More

This is a nice park and worth a look if you have time. There were plenty of trees there native and transplants. The size of the trees is quite astonishing. See for yourself, pictures don't get all of the view.

About 12 miles into the drive, you will come to this wayside. There is ample parking, but it can fill up. There are restrooms, picnic tables and a large grassy area. There is also a viewpoint to see the Ke'anae Peninsula, along with a couple nature trails.

I've rated 5/5, but don't be fooled: this spot IMHO is nothing more than a great photo opportunity. If you're doing the Road to Hana, be sure to stop here for a quick photo and possibly a snack or pee break.

We used Shaka Maui guide and they suggested this as the best bathroom stop. As far as flush enclosed toilets go I guess it was except there was a plugged up toilet so one less stall available. Come on people flush the toilet why continue to go, throw and not flush?!?! There are picnic tables to eat your lunch/snack and... More

Nice place for a brief stop and break along the Hana Highway. A very short walk from the parking lot leads to a viewpoint that is worth a quick peek. There is also a restroom here.

Great place to stop and go to the restroom. The road to Hanna can be very long and this spot makes a nice break. You can get some good pictures while you stretch your legs out.

A must see, jumping from one sacred pond to the next, this park is really extraordinary. Hike up to the falls, see colossal Banyan trees, bamboo forest, the list goes on.

This park is worth taking a trip to on its own merit. It is equally worth stopping to enjoy if you're doing the Road to Hana and want a break. The forest is dense and lush and the scenic spot overlooking the ocean is breathtaking. Moss, trees, vines, ferns and some of the biggest leaves I've ever seen all can... More

It's a beautiful park, and a gorgeous view of the ocean. You can wander a bit, and we found an avocado plant nearby! They were just about ready to eat, but we didn't know if it was allowed to take any, so we left it. If you're unfortunate enough to arrive at the park just after a tour bus has... More
