We stopped in on our last morning. The exhibition was well organized and gave a great history of the island. Great stop to learn about the history.

This Center is located near the Hotel Lanai. It recaps the history of the island using pictures and exhibits. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Be sure to pick-up a map of the Koloiki trail.

This was a great way to learn about the fascinating history and culture of Lanai-native Hawaiians, Filipino laborers, the Dole Plantation year now Larry Ellison who is investing in community development. We had a tour with the then Director, Kepa Maly. He has since left for Palama Lanai community organization. But hopefully the staff can still give you insights into... More

A great way to learn about Lanai's history and heritage. The timeline alone makes the visit worthwhile. Let your stomach settle after a great lunch at Blue Ginger Cafe by spending a half-hour or more here.

We really enjoyed the tour of Lanai Culture & Heritage Center. We started by watching the movie which was a documentary on the history of Lanai. This helped us appreciate all the wonderful artifacts that were displayed in the museum, many of which were found on the island. Stopping here first gave us a better understanding of what life was... Lanai is a small island with limited access to places, especially sightseeing places. Lanai city is a quaint town. Majority of Lanai is owned by Mr. Larry Ellison (Oracle) now, but it has an interesting past as a pineapple plantation island. This culture center has a 1 hour movie, it is worth watching that first then walk around and look... More

If you're in Lanai City, the only town on the island, stop in. It's free and others a good overview of island history, including the many years when pineapple was kjng.
