If you don't take a helicopter ride you might miss these views. Get on the the highway to Koke's and take it to the end and you will see spectacular sites. Unfortunately on of the pull offs was all fog, but don't despair....just keep going.

Out of the handful of times we did this long drive, it's only been clear twice. It can be totally amazing when it's clear, and the pictures cannot convey the grandeur if it. Other days, it was rainy or cloudy. The rolling clouds are a spectacle to see with the up drafts.....otherworldly.

this relatively short hike has quite the panoramic view of this canyon , normally only available to the helicopters and boats that provide tours.

The drive will take a while but it is worth it, especially if there are no clouds blocking the views. We went early (before 10a) and beat the crowds and the clouds. Views are amazing!

At the end of the road, is Kokee State Park. Drive to the lookout and be prepared for breathtaking scenery. If it is cloudy, wait a moment. They will blow through. At 5000+ feet above sea level, you are where the clouds live. The horizon holds the valley of the Na Pali coast. Where ancient Hawaiians lived. The Pacific breaks... More

What can you say about lovely mountain views with the blue Pacific behind them? Perfection after a lovely day of driving through a fabulous set of waterfalls and vistas.

Best way to see Kalalau Valley if you don't hike the trail. Drive to both lookouts and plan to do one of the trails. You can get socked in with clouds!

If you had a billion dollars to spend on a vacation home, you might buy this view. Drive all the way to the end of the road and the view is right there.

The Koke'e mountains are stunning. There are lots of great places to take in the view, with Kalaulau being the most stunning in my opinion. There are some hiking trails, but they are not recommended for novice hikers. There are many instances where you might have to jump across a gap, or tread on some slippery terrain. The trails are... The trails and views surrounding the Koke'e mountains are nothing but stunning. With the views of Waimea Canyon nearby and hikes and drives that lead to views of the Napali coast, this is unparalleled. Don't miss a drive up into the Koke'e mountains. Simply amazing!
