This is one of our favorite beaches in Kauai for body surfing and body boarding. But...... if you don't know what you are doing on a bigger day it will eat your lunch. My buddy got straight up sand blasted off a 7 foot face,...More

A great beach with high surf. Nice to sit by to hear the waves! Just a few families when I was there and there were some local kids jumping off the cliff. Oh to be young again!! Be sure to plan lots of time for...More

This is a gorgeous beach but a little rough. The turtles love it here! We could have watched them swim all day!

This is an awesome beach to visit. Great views, a nice optional hike, scenic but just be careful of the surf. Rolling rocks at the surf could really injure you.

Not a beach for swimming!! Great views of the power of the ocean. Restroom and changing rooms. Nice sandy beach with shade. Fun to watch surfers. Just sitting there you could hear the rip current pulling moderately sized boulders up on the beach. Limited parking...More

We stayed a the Point at Poipu and did the easy walk over. The beach truly is beautiful within the grounds of the Hyatt. It is also not safe enough for children and probably only safe for VERY experienced swimmers. It is also nice that...More

The beach is very pretty and not crowded. Very strong waves and surf- great surfing location, wouldn’t swim here. Public with bathrooms, parking, rinse off fountain, no lifeguard. Brave souls jump off a nearby cliff into the ocean and swim to shore. Need to keep...More

Drive past the Hyatt and take the road to the right between the Hyatt and the golf course. Shipwreck Beach parking lot is at the end.

I'm sorry I can't help you. We went as a hiking group from Vancouver Island and were self directed. I didn't notice any guided groups of hikers.
