Nice beach with quite a bit of shade. We brought our dogs here and they enjoyed the sand and shade. The surf is strong, good for body boarding and surfing, but not so much for swimming. Watched several people jump off of the nearby cliff...More

Great beach for boogie boarding. Nice shade and grassy area. Not a lot of parking available. Fun to watch people jump off the cliff.

Not only is this a great spot to watch the surfers but also the cliff jumpers. Small relaxing spot that's not too crowded.

This is a smaller beach but it packs a punch! Big, rough surf makes it fun to watch and can be rough to swim in. The water color is very vibrant entertaining you with as the waves twist and turn.

Local spot for surfing. A bit rough if you want to get in the water. Definitely not for novice swimmers.

This beach is nice for taking a relaxing beach walk. The water is too rough for swimming but the rocky tide pool area is great for kids to explore under supervision to see fish and crabs. I recommend water shoes as the rocks are very...More

We visited Shipwreck Beach last year and this year we stayed at the Grand Hyatt. We were able to take our boys hiking up this pretty easy path up to the top and they loved it! Beautiful views!!

Drive past the Hyatt and take the road to the right between the Hyatt and the golf course. Shipwreck Beach parking lot is at the end.

I'm sorry I can't help you. We went as a hiking group from Vancouver Island and were self directed. I didn't notice any guided groups of hikers.
