This is my favorite beach on Kauai! Every time we've been there we've seen monk seals and turtles on the beach. People love to snorkel there. It's very safe for kids and for others who like calmer waters. Surfers enjoy the more adventurous water to...More

Great park on the ocean. Beaches for all skill levels, baby beach, boggy board beach, surf beach. Picnic shelters, restrooms, outside showers for washing off sand.

This is a nice beach with calm water. You can snorkel right off the beach and it is shallow so you can stand if needed. Lots of neat fish to see.

This is a very busy park, but there is so much space to spread out. The smaller beach is great for kids with calm waters and sand bars. The other beach is perfect for boogie boards with good waves. The rocks along the shore between...More

A nice beach for wading in the water and sunning on the beach. Big parking lot nearby was very convenient. There is a deli across the street if you want to pick something for lunch or to drink

The beach and the park are very crowded but it is a good little cove for swimming that isn't too rough. The beach area is very small though.

I wouldn't go back here in summer. Very crowded and all the restaurants are super expensive--even for Hawaii! Save your money and go to Hanalei Bay instead.

I definitely make a pilgrimage to Poipu beach every time I come to Kauai, I actually like the rougher waters at the far side of beach, other than the "protected" side which is Very rocky!

We stayed near the beach and I was there walking early most mornings to see the sunrise and watch the turtles and seals. Lovely beach with shaded areas on the grass. BBQs there to use which great for Sunday gatherings. Safe and shallow for easy...More

It would be good for beginner snorkeling! It is protected by a reef so water is not rough. You need to be aware that in some spots the distance between rock and water surface is very very shallow and you need to be careful... More
