One of the really nice things about Wailua Falls, is that you park just off the road and walk back to a viewing stand to see these spectacular falls. And, somewhat a uniquely, to my knowledge, there are two falls. I recommend it as a must see experience.

Beautiful twin falls, lots of water. Only problem is limited parking space. This is where Hwy 583 ends.

Although the trailhead states that the trail is closed and dangerous and treacherous, etc, the best views of the falls are from the pool below. Wear bug spray as mosquitos are bad and wear good hiking shoes. Take your time and use vines and ropes to ease your way down/assist your assent. It is definitely do-able if you are in... More

Worth the drive, nice waterfall and scenary. Limited parking, so try and go early to beat the rush. Locals are also selling coconuts which were very yummy!!

It is easy to reach of the highway and very pretty. We also saw some feral pigs grazing along the roadside up there.

These falls are easily viewable just from the road at a view stop. Worth seeing. We did notice that there were people who had ventured all the way down the canyon, although it wasn't apparent that anyone was encouraged to that...it looked like a really steep path reserved for the hardy adventurer.

We drove up the road past beautiful scenery and ranches and the Falls take your breath away. We did very early in the morning as the sun was rising after a short rain mist. There was a local woman selling her coconut and banana bread and she even called for the wild pigs to come out of the fields....the whole... More

We opted to drive to see the falls. The road is narrow, so be careful, but it is a beautiful drive. There is little parking in the area, but the local man who was selling pearls in the area guided traffic when it was heavy so that if you were patient, you could get a parking spot without too much... Wailua waterfalls are easily accessible to view from a roadside overview. I don't know how you would actually access the waters. The road to it is a nice drive taking you past ranches. Not a high priority, but good to do if you have the time.
