We were looking for a cool bridge that was open and found this one. We were glad we did. To get there we had to go down an unmaintained road. We sort of parked in someone’s yard but they said it was ok. At the front of the bridge was a display sign giving info about the bridge.
The bridge isn’t horribly long but goes over a lovely little stream. At the other end is a sign that says no trespassing. We didn’t get off the bridge but walked back.
Along the way we saw lots of spiders had made webs between the suspensions. They were cool.
It’s a nice pretty area and no one else came during our brief visit.

Fun to visit, but not a lot to see. This bridge is easy to access and for people of all ages. I was the only person when I visited and it was nice to take a few pictures and watch the river for a little while. Definitely neat to walk on a suspension bridge, even if it is a recreation of the original.

...in a kinda idyllic setting. A small sign by the bridge give a bit of its associated history with the sugar plantation era on Kauai. Looks like there is a bench set-up to sit back and enjoy the peace and nature of its setting. It is directly behind the Lihue Hongwanji Buddhist Temple which I also visited which made this stop doubly special. They allowed me stay parked in their lot to visit the bridge as well.

This was easy to find, it offered a nice historical information post to remind us of how many people flocked here for work. Very short walk on a suspension bridge.

Loved the history and significance of this bridge. Glad is was rebuilt and preserved. It is small and you don't need a lot of time but the stream and surrounding trees are beautiful. Glad we did see it.

There are not many suspension bridges around the country. It is always fun to walk on one.. Especially if you have one or more unsteady walkers.

A nice little town and a great attraction. Bridge seems to be in great shape and a nice camera shot looking to other side of bridge. An art gallery is on the other side. Doesn’t swing too much as you cross the river

This is right off the main road behind a church and a Buddhist temple.
Nothing real special but we walked across it and took pictures of some flowers.
Maybe a 25 minute visit.

Such a peaceful piece of nature! The bridge has a bit of island history posted. As you across the bridge you'll do a very short hike up a small hill to a church. The stream is beautiful. Our family enjoyed the peaceful nature in this area especially the babbling stream. It was interesting to consider the islanders of the past as they walked a similar bridge in their daily life.
