Interesting and scenic stop

A beautiful wildlife refuge for endangered species of birds. Some great views of the bay. The light house is interesting -- there are tours about once an hour.

Very beautiful scenery, the weather was absolutely perfect and the lighthouse is a lovely addition to the natural beauty. Loved all the birds and greenery as well.

The public areas are smaller than I envisioned they would be but it was still a great experience. The docents are very good and very accessible and add greatly to the value of the experience. If you can, bring a good pair of binoculars although they have some there that you can borrow. The area can become quite crowded, especially... More

I loved how we were surrounded by all the various seabirds and looking down on the dramatic cliffs and crashing waves

There are beautiful views to see of the lighthouse, the landscape and various birds. You can also tour the lighthouse and hear about its history of saving lives, which is interesting. As a Scottish person, the lighthouse in my home town has a much more elaborate interior with various rooms to tour inside so I had (perhaps unreasonably) expected more... More

This is located at the point where the Kilauea Lighthouse is. You will see many birds including Boobies, Shearwaters, and even albatross. Looking down into the bay we saw seals sunning on the rocks. You can even see giant sea turtles.

This is located along with the Kilauea Lighthouse. There is a $5 charge or free with the National Park Access Card. Our day of visiting had many bird watching groups who were enjoying seeing and identifying the birds flying overhead, on the sidewalks or in the bushes. There are binoculars free for using while your stay, bathroom facilities, gift shop... More

This place truly caught us by surprise. What we thought would be a 1 to 2 hour stop turned into a half a day adventure. The views, man the view. They are spectacular! You walk around thinking "this is the best view" until you walk around to the next place and see one that's better. The lighthouse offers a nice... More

The views, the history, the crashing waves, the blue sea and scudding clouds, the spinner dolphins in Kalihiwai Bay; You can see the whole north shore from here: across the `Anini reef beyond Hanalei Bay to Makana Pali and Ke`e. Can't hike the Na Pali? Take an easy drive and stroll here!

This attraction gets an extra star because we were able to tour inside the lighthouse. Tours are given on Saturdays and the group is kept small. The guide was well informed and interesting. The site of the lighthouse provided beautiful views of the coast. This is a nice quick stop for great scenic views.
