Ok, if you plan on doing this excursion, I highly recommend being in decent shape. My wife and I are both in great shape and we had no trouble but the kayak portion is challenging because the first leg is upstream and the second leg...More

Aloha 321, Counter intuitively, paddling the Wailua river portion of the tour upstream is easier than paddling back with the current against the wind; it all depends on the winds. Thanks for letting folks know what can be in-store on our Wailua River Sacred Falls...More

Had an amazing time with our guide Ricky Harman. He was super knowledgeable and energetic. Best guide we’ve had on Kauai. Thanks again Ricky for a great time!

Aloha Brown Doug, Glad to hear Ricky is doing as good a job as our guides do on our paddle, hiking and snorkeling tours. Glitch is that he is not in our employ. Thanks for sharing. A hui hou, Micco

We had an absolute blast! First - we were greeted by Pearl who checked us in with the biggest smile - her personality rocks! Next we met Josh our guide - who was fantastic! We did this adventure on Tuesday October 2nd - we had...More

Aloha Dani, That could be our new motto for our Wailua Sacred Falls tour: Embrace the mud! Pearl has been a recent addition to staff and is great to work with her enthusiastic personality and true aloha. Glad to know Josh continues to exceed expectations....More

First, this is a very nice concept, kayak to a hidden waterfall. The idea of this sounds so great and we where excited over the potential. The problem is, the company does a very poor job from what we found explaining the level of this...More

Aloha Maps, Thanks to you and others, for helping us get the word out that the trail to the falls can be muddy. If you read some of the past Trip Advisor comments you can see were others have been challenged by the mud which...More

My 22 year old daughter and I did the Secret/Sacred Falls kayak/hike trip - it was awesome! The kayak ride was great, then we beached the kayaks and began the hike. "Embrace the mud!" The provided walking stick was a huge help. The reward was...More

Aloha Traci, Loved your review...especially your word smithing, i.e. "embrace the mud". As you learned, the more mud there is the more impressive the falls will be. We use double kayaks because of State requirement + it insures a stronger group if anyone get's tired...More

The 5 hour tour of kayaking/hiking on the river to Sectet Falls is not for beginners. We were assured this was good for beginners and the hike was so easy that a 73 old woman with a cane did it with no problem. I asked...More

Aloha Kath, Thanks for getting the word out about the trail especially in light of the soggy year we have been experiencing. Our tour guides do a great job in gauging the disparate abilities of all members involved and only go as fast as the...More

You won't get dirty necessarily. However, we went to the Marriott and they let us use a hospitality suite for $30 to shower and change. There are other hotels close by that may have the same deal.

Cliff jumping is precarious on all Hawaiian waterfalls. Rotten rock and shallow pools. If you do ...make sure you buy a wheel chair in case you survive. Micco
