If you want to do something different, visit this temple and monastery. It's off the beaten track but worth a visit. Reservations are required for the guided tour and we'd recommend doing this.

A group of friends spending time on Kauai came across this opportunity to visit a Buddhist temple. The grounds are manicured and beautiful, the history is very interesting, and the temple is amazing. I would highly recommend a visit to this temple!

A must see hidden gem of Kauai! Check for hours and times of tours before going up there. Car pool whenever possible beacuse it can be very busy with limited parking. Amazing place even if your not religious, amazing gift shop too!

Definitely take the public tour, which is offered about once a week, starts at 9 am and lasts about 2 hours. But you have to plan ahead - parking is very limited so you need a reservation, and the tour is only offered about once...More

There are no provisions to stay at the temple - it is just to visit .
