A fun trip up the river. Then an adventurous hike through the jungle before reaching the water fall. Our guide was very informative and fun to be with.

All of the comments about the fun, beauty and experience made previously are all true. This review is for our guide, Brian, and his excellent manner and customer service. He told us about birds, flowers, pigs, geese, Hawaiian lore, movie scenes shot there and everything...More

This was our first time kayaking-we had a great time. The river was very calm and surrounded by beautiful greenery. The hike was also a lot of fun- a bit muddy though but was expected as we read other reviews earlier. Bring water-proof shoes preferably...More

This kayak-hike tour is beautiful, physical, messy and fun. It would be a difficult adventure, though, for anyone with physical limitations (especially shoulders, knees and legs) or issues with mud! But if you decide not to care that you are sloshing your way up to...More

Miguel was a kind and caring guide. It was a perfect day, a little downpour on the hike back but we were wet and just laughed it off. We had one woman that was having a tough time with the hike, but Miguel and everyone...More

We choose the 7 a.m. tour. We were not alone at the waterfall, but we could avoid the biggest crowds. Brian was an excellent guide. He told a lot of stories, was happy to answer questions, provided us with walking sticks and took pictures of...More

Experiences are commonly made by people and interactions. We decided to do our visit to the waterfalls by doing some kayaking and we picked Dukes because it had a good quality/price ratio. It's hard to describe how cool and beautiful the way to the waterfalls...More

Evidently we lucked out with the dry weather. No mud on the trail and only light wind on the river. Brian is very knowledgeable about the Hawaiian culture, as well as a skilled guide. As soon as we expressed an interest, he expounded on history,...More

I'm thinking you could probably rent kayaks and do the river on your own. There is also the Wailua river where you can go kayaking, and if you can be there when the sea is calmer than on our last trip, there is always Napali... More

It is a lot of walking. The terrain is muddy and can be quite slippery. Parts of the trail are very narrow with drop-offs on the side. The pathway is both uphill and downhill at times. The kayaking part is strenuous as well... More
