This is a very fun activity and the people at the company are very nice and professional. The river has no current and the hike is mostly flat. The river guide was fun and made us feel very safe. The company offers to loan you shoes for the trip, which I highly recommend because it gets very muddy! The only... More

About 1 hour kayak. 1 hour hike. 1 hour fun by the water falls.1 hour hike.1 hour kayak. We really enjoyed. This activity is rain or shine. The mud hike wasn't very fun because it just wasn't easy but you did not go to Hawaii to walk on paved roads, didn't you. Our 5 year old son really enjoyed it.... More

We were looking for a true rainforest experience... and we had it! Absolutely GREAT! Kayaking along the Wailua river is easy and our camera and food were safe in the waterproof bags provided by the company, so we didn't have to care about anything but just enjoining the beautiful views and the sound of the rain that hit the leaves... Great adventure for our family (kids ages 5 and 8). We appreciated how upfront they were about getting muddy. We had never kayaked before so it took us a little while to get the hang of it with our 2 kids in the kayak and with one of them trying to "paddle." Austin was great guide. He gave us great... More

My wife and I took the 5-hour kayak paddle and hike to the falls. Our guide Kavika was amazing and made the trip memorable. A native, he shared his deep knowledge during our trip, including information about the environment, people, culture, and plants. The paddle in was relatively easy. Be prepared for a medium challenging hike, with multiple waist-deep water... More

My wife, son and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience! Our guides, Lisa and her precocious son, Jayden, made the slog through the mud a lot of fun.

Folks at Kayak Wailua delivered exactly what they said....kayaking, MUDDY hike, beautiful falls, and more kayaking! Our guide, Forest, did a great job making sure everyone was having a good time and felt safe. My wife and I were a bit slow on the muddy hike and Forest came back to help us the last 1/4 mile. Great time....highly recommend... More

My wife and I went on this kayak trip with David as our tour guide. He was great! He grew up on the island and was very knowledgeable about the history of it as well as all of the plant life in the area. This trip was awesome because although it was a guided group tour, it still felt like... More

Our family of 4 enjoyed this day out on the water and the hike to the waterfall. We paid the extra $5 for the adults to have high back support seats which was well worth it, we felt very comfortable the whole way. The kids loved the swim under the waterfall, too cold for me!

Brandon took us out on the 11:00 tour this past Saturday and was a riot! He was patient with all guests, had a great sense of humor, and was very knowledgable about the island. We will be returning to the island next year with friends and will be requesting this same tour and same guide. Thanks for a great time!
