Had a great time at the Art Market on Friday. We purchased a few matted photos, and some gems from the Talk Story bookstore. Wonderfully friendly people, great live music, and a lot of delicious-looking food we had to pass on due to a dinner...More

We try to go to Art Night once in a while. It has switched to more of a food fest than Art night in the past few years but still worth the visit. The local free music is fantastic and worth the drive. Eat early...More

First the downside to the evening...it was HOT, and unless you get there early parking is a bear. So wear a hat, a light weight shirt and shorts, maybe bring a light jacket is you plan to stay late, smear on some sunscreen, and park...More

I guess I felt like this would be a fun, walk around town, have some good food and beer/wine type of event BUT it really wasn’t. There were some food stands but I never found a place to purchase anything other than fruit juice or...More

If you are in the Poipu area on a Friday evening be sure to drive over to Hanapepe for their Art Walk and Street Food. This is a cute, little town with a big Hawaiian feel. The art galleries are excellent and locally owned, not...More

Our family spent our last night in Kauai here and really enjoyed ourselves! We enjoyed food from the street vendors and a few of us had food from restaurants and all were happy. I had the best "Mule" I have ever had at the Pasta...More

We were in the area for the weekly Friday night festival, so we went over to walk around. It was really happening. Most all the shops and galleries were open, bunches of vendors, and a number of food trucks around. This was a lot of...More

I would recommend coming hungry and spending some time visiting the little shops. Besides art, there are many street vendors and some food trucks as well.

This was totally unexpected. This small historic town seems to be the arts center of Kauai. On Friday evenings, the town turns out for their weekly Arts Walk. All the businesses open their doors and have tables/booths in the street. There were local galleries, jewelry...More

As we pulled up to Hanapepe for an evening of fun and food, we were struck by the abject poverty of the locals living right next to the frivolity, and were even more amazed by the high priced art and wares being sold within eyesight....More

I agree that arriving early makes finding parking a bit easier, but I went around 6:30pm and still was able to find a spot without too much trouble. So if you can get there earlier, great, but if you’re doing something fun... More
