I was expecting to be a little bridge across a creek. But it was over a river and much longer than expected. Fun to walk across and it Does swing! We visited it on Art Walk night and there is a little gallery on the other side so do go across.

Hanapepe is a wonderful town to visit. It is the art colony of Kauai. Filled with wonderful galleries and shops don't take the bypass and miss it. When there take a few minutes to walk across the Waimea river and experience the bridge. An experience that is easy, don't miss an experience when you can have one. Include this.

I love this town and its bridge. It's a great connecter to a gallery on the other side. I'm just a chicken to cross the bridge. Make sure you go across when there aren't that many people using it. Walk in the middle and hold on. It's really not that high off of the river, but it seems high. If... More

When in Hanapepe, you have to see this. It's a bridge, so what's to say? Old, cute and unique. Kids would love it.

Not a must see and do ... but it was a fun see and do while we were there for the Fright Night Art Walk. The bridge does have movement and it is narrow, you have to squeeze by folks coming the other way ... but it is all fun.

It is a long swinging bridge, but not that interesting. It was a little busy so we just looked but did not cross. If you have never seen a shining bridge here is your chance. It you have then you have probably seen better. It is easy to find if you are Hanapepe.

Couldn't stop giggling -- lots of fun! This bridge was initially built in 1911, then re-built after the hurricane hit Kauai. Follow the signs through town to find the bridge. It offers a bit of free entertainment good for families, and a fun photo op.

Cool little swinging bridge. Happened upon it by chance - glad we did! Even though the sign on the bridge says "Don't Swing," it does so on its own ;-)

The bridge is quite interesting and fun to walk across the canal. I wouldn't travel to Hanapepe just for this but if in the area it is interesting and worthwhile.
