We did this hike with our three kids. They are 13, 11, and 8. It was steep, muddy, and slippery but manageable. It was my favorite hike that we did in Kauai. The views were so beautiful and it was a wonderful workout. At the...More

This trail was really fun! To get to the trailhead, go past Princeville and turn left immediately after you cross the Hanalei Bridge - and I mean immediately! You will go down a dirt road and won't be sure, but there is a parking lot...More

Arranged for a hike with a guide and this trail was selected. With a month of rain previous to our visit to this trail this week, I'm not sure why a guide would think this is an appropriate beginner trail. It was extremely muddy and...More

Sadly it was too muddy and brush too thick during first section that we ended up turning back! Be prepared if you decide to try it!

Of all the trails, this one was amazing! My boyfriend's cousin lives on Kauai and showed us this trail... we didn't know what to expect.. but liked the sounds of it. It was the most technical and vertically challenging trail... wet from recent rains so...More

This steep but short trail ends with a beautiful view of Hanalei Bay. There is a bench at the top allowing you to sit and enjoy the view before coming back down.

Yes we hiked it around June 20, 2018. The road said local traffic only, but we followed other cars and it was quite fine to the point of the trail head. Trail is fine, well marked with trail access parking.
