Nothing spectacular about this pier other than it gives you a good view of the harbor and the town. We walked out here to take some photos with the fog shrouded mountains in the background. There was also a surf class going on down the...More

My husband and I visited this pier after looking around downtown Hanalei and it was worth the short drive! Such a nice view of the ocean and mountains. Definitely a local spot. The beach it is on is known for sandcastle competitions. Lots of people...More

We enjoyed walking on the Hanalei Beach to the Hanalei Pier. The Pier offers great views of the beach and is a popular spot for taking photos.

Views of the mountains from the pier are amazing. But we drive away from the pier and stop alongside the road to enjoy the beach somewhere else on Hanalei Bay because the beach at the pier is small and crowded in summer. In winter, it...More

The pier was cool, water is very shallow so we could see tons of fish. They have picnic tables and fishing areas. I don't know if they were biting but they were swimming all around the pier.

Go see it, walk along it, jump off it. Soak in the views. Go paddle boarding. Swim. Sit on the beach. Smile. I spent the whole time just grateful that I could be in such a beautiful place.

Worth the drive, the Hanalei Pier offers beautiful scenery. There are no waves and not too many people swimming, paddle boarding, and jumping off the shaded pier.

A must see Pier with so much island history. Locals are drawn to this gathering spot the beach to the left of Pier is wide open the right beach is smaller with more shade and car access right on beach

We went to swim, and to catch the amazing views. This place was my favorite! It's absolutely breath taking. There was a lot of trash out (however it was a holiday weekend). Sail boats around. Lots of swimming, surfing, and paddle boarding.

The parking can be difficult because this is a popular place to swim, picnic and take boat tours. The pier is good for a quick stop to see the bay. Also fun to watch the children jump oss and into the water. No fee, good...More

Yes! Just grab a fishing license! (I am sure you could get away with not getting one but better safe than sorry because there are hefty fines for not having camping/fishing licenses on Kauai)
