Well, we always stay in this part of the island. If it fit's your budget, you can't beat renting a home along Weke Rd. We've decided staying across the road from the beach is close enough for us given the prices. Anyway, on to the...More

My kids love to come to the pier when we are on Kauai. They will jump off the pier for hours. Even my four year old loves it.

It is great to see many places where they shot the movie South Pacific. From the pier you can see Bali high

This was our go-to spot on vacation. Kids loved to jump off the pier. Local kids very kind and encouraging even though we were on their turf. A nice mix of mainlanders and locals. Surfed next door at Hanalei Pines. Simply gorgeous.

We made a quick stop here on our way back to Princeville from our morning snorkel at Tunnels. We did the obligatory jumping off the pier. Honestly the water here was a little murky and not super appealing, but the kids enjoyed their jump nonetheless....More

A wonderful place to watch the sunset! And if you have older kids (10+), they often enjoy jumping off the pier (ours is grown up now, but this was a fun activity when he was a young teenager).

Although the pier allows for a short stroll closer to the ocean, it is nothing to extraordinary. Signs read "No diving or jumping from the pier" but teens and children seem to jump repeatedly.

By far the prettiest scenery at the beach in Kauai. The surrounding bay with the beautiful mountains and softest sand that feels like baby powder.

Our family really enjoyed our time at Hanalei Bay and the pier. The calm water and the soft white sands made swimming so enjoyable. The views were so beautiful and we loved being able to jump off the pier into the clear, warm ocean. The...More

Yes! Just grab a fishing license! (I am sure you could get away with not getting one but better safe than sorry because there are hefty fines for not having camping/fishing licenses on Kauai)
