Great vantage point to see the Bay views. Take photos of beach and mountains. Also watch a surfer or two. We also have seen some large sea turtles swim right up beside the pier.

Walked along the pier in December. Beautiful views of Hanalei bay, beach and surrounding mountains. Don't swim near the pier due to pollution according to books and shallow.

I visited Hanalei Pier to watch the sunset. There are restroom and shower facilities at the beach park which seemed to be frequented by a handful of locals. There were also young kids body boarding and surfing which was fun to watch. I traveled here...More

Enjoyed our visit even in crappy weather. Wish we had brought our lunch. We could have sat at picnic tables on the end of the pier to eat.

Yes! Just grab a fishing license! (I am sure you could get away with not getting one but better safe than sorry because there are hefty fines for not having camping/fishing licenses on Kauai)
