Great place to stop on your way to Hanalei. One thing in Hawaii that does not cost a dime. Get out and look at the valley. Looks like a place from another time.

The Hanalei Valley is simply breathtaking. Several waterfalls cascade down the hills that form the boundaries of the valley. The hills are rugged, lush, and green. The valley is beautiful, with a historic town neighboring taro fields and the ocean. There is plenty to do...More

Be sure to stop here, and again at the overlook for Hanalei Bay. Hanalei is so picturesque.

I had researched this view but it crept up on us and we almost missed it. The scenery is wonderful and the chickens were roaming as usual. There is a sign there that explains what you are looking at, but if you want to see...More

Try stopping on your way back from Hanalei--This area gets quite congested with the Princeville Shopping Center nearby! Always drive with Aloha & patience!

This is nothing more than what the British call a "lay-by" -- a place to pause and park and marvel at the view. But what a view. In a miracle (so far) of preservation, you are standing on high, looking out over the broad vista...More

The overlook is simply a viewpoint or pullout at the side of the road. There are no trails or walkways involved. There are several places nearby in Princeville, in Hanalei or the lighthouse where you can walk with a pram.
