I don't think people need to come here if they're not staying at the Hilton. The treatments I got were not as good as last time I came, and the steam/sauna facilities are less fancy than at other spas I've been too. BUT if you're staying here, here are the great things about it: --Makai Tower: if you stay in... More

I have visited this spa many times and had a wonderful experience. I even brought a friend to show her how amazing this place can be. However, this visit was extremely disappointing. When you pay resort spa prices, you expect a resort spa experience. The steam room was broken and the hot tub (which they use in all their advertising)... More

Spa has the usual showers and lockers, but not much else. Steam room and hot tub are minimal. Exercise area is like a closet. Staff is not helpful. Prices are high. Yes, I was disappointed!

I am no stranger to massages, getting them regularly at home, and even sometimes splurging on an upscale spa experience such as offered at the Kohala Spa in the Hilton Waikoloa. My husband booked me for the 80 minute Naupaka Ritual massage. The facilities were nice, quiet and clean, but the real pleasure was the massage and the Therapist, Roy.... More

I had the opportunity to enjoy a facial while on a business trip and enjoyed relaxation at it's finest. Kohala Spa offers a variety of treatments and services. The facility is clean, well staffed and full of aloha from check in to check out. The acai blueberry water in the waiting room is refreshing. Tucked away in the Lagoon Tower... More

My girlfriend and I went to get a couples massage. We had a very nice massage and the facilities were small but relaxing. Everything was nice until the very end when my gf found a cockroach. We informed the staff but they were unapologetic and apathetic. It's amazing how the level of service at such a nice hotel is sub... More

I've visited this spa several times in the past, but this visit may be my last. My husband & I signed up for a couples massage. I was handed a bracelet with a locker key & told to head to the ladies locker. No one showed me around, helped me find my locker or told me where anything was located.... More

First when I booked my spa treatment for my 8year old no one told me she would NOT be allowed into spa area (must be 16 years or older). It was disappointing that she couldn't have the full Spa experience. Second an 18% or 20% gratuity was automatically applied. Both our masseuses were great, but I'd would have liked the... More

My wife and I decided to have treatments at the Spa in the middle of our vacation. I will say that this Swedish massage was one of the best I ever received. And the service was very attentive. I even enjoyed the Lava Rock hot tub. There was one small thing that took away from the experience. Men and women... More

One thing I love about a spa visit is the before/after experience of the massage or treatment. Kohala had a nice dressing room with the normal amenities like lotion and mouthwash and brushes. They also have a great steam room and sauna, as well as a peaceful women's only jacuzzi with a nice tranquil garden space. The waiting room was... More
