A -Bay is a relatively quiet coarse sand beach. We stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa and walked south along the shoreline trail there for an afternoon. That walk is relatively easy in covered shoes. There is a lot of shade along the way. The beach...More

We snorkeled here 2 different times on our trip and really loved it! We saw lots of turtles, 2 eels and many many beautiful fish. It's not too crowded and both times we were able to score a lounger under the trees. We had a...More

We usually stay in the Waikoloa area and have been coming to this beach for years. I always laughed to myself when I saw folks snorkeling here because where there is lots of sand, the snorkeling is usually really bad. But this trip my opinions...More

Loved this little hidden beach! Go early and bring water shoes because the lava rock is SHARP!! Restrooms are clean and there is a little refreshment stand down the beach a little. Gorgeous sunsets!

Even though gorgeous Hapuna is only 10 minutes away, I prefer this beach. Smaller, more intimate. Less crowded (at least when we were there) and plenty of shade. Nice to have Lava Lava restaurant within a few steps when you want to get something to...More

Despite some people telling us it was ok, we found the water murky and little to see. Go north a few miles to a small beach called beach 69, or the beach at the Mauna Lani resort! These two had beautiful reefs. 1hr south is...More

This beach is gorgeous and has a beautiful setting. Lots of shade from pretty palm trees. Nice sand and great water. I understand the sunsets are gorgeous, but we had to leave in the afternoon. We really enjoyed this clean beach park. Bathrooms available.

I do not believe you can on the beach, I don't recall seeing anyone doing so. There is a grocery in the mall coming to the beach. Great fresh foods that will satisfy for sure.
