Since the recent eruptions on Hawaii Island, the only way to view this beloved beach park is from the air, or a special boat ride. The lava closed up access to this popular beach park. Currently the landscape has changed it dramatically, and where once...More

Great scenery, all of the spots are so unique. Really enjoyed watching the waves come crashing in. Enjoyed walking around the area and watching the ocean.

I wouldn't suggest making a journey here, but if traveling along Hwy 132, which is well worth the excursion if you have the time, this park offers good restrooms, picnic tables and nice views of the surf.

Pretty palm lined lava rock bay. Jet ski towed a surfer out so I️t was like wake boarding. Thought he would bring him in to catch the shore surf but gave up before that happened

Small park but beautiful views. It's fun to watch the waves and people paddle boarding and surfing. Pack a lunch and make it a relaxing outing.

Went down here to catch the lava tour, spent the day and so glad I did. Had a snorkle and a soak in the hot springs. A good safe place to snorkle with the kids, or round the corner to body board or surf.

The last couple of miles to reach this park are on a one-way road but it wasn't hard to pull over and let oncoming cars pass. It was a rainy day when I went and the surf was up which made for beautiful waves to...More

It's the only harbor for miles, and way off the main road, but the only place to launch a boat for miles.
