We stopped briefly on our way to the Volcano National Park. There were no tours running, so we only browsed through the gift shop. They had coffee and macadamia nut samples available. I found a coffee I liked, so bought a bag to take home...More

Stopped by while we on the Big Island in February. It seems to be under new management. Staff is very friendly, coffee and mac nut samples available. However, we did find that the prices are now higher than at the Mauna Loa store near Hilo.More

Aloha M-LT1980 We thank you for stopping by to visit us! Feedback is always welcome and helps us improve our services. We don't have any other locations on the Big Island and aren't affiliated with Mauna Loa so perhaps there was a bit of confusion...More

If you're interested in learning about the process of making coffee, or are in the mood to taste some different coffee styles, this is a great stop. The visitor center is in the middle of acres of coffee plants. They have a tour to tell...More

Too late to take the tour of the coffee growing and roasting operation so we tried a few coffee samples and ended up purchasing a bag of macadamia nut brittle. Nice people but not sure how they justify their high (tourist) prices for coffee beans.

We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion to see a Coffee and Macadamia plantation that was not quite as commercialized as some. Great video presentation of their operations on former sugar cane plantations that had closed in 1996 creating huge unemployment for the surrounding community. It was...More
