This trail has little to offer. There's little of interest. The crater is not that impressive and is overgrown. Much of the trail has a lot of loose rocks, requiring close attention to your footing. Numerous trees have fallen across the trail requiring either climbing...More

We took the nature hike and all I can say is "Don't do it". This was not a good hike. The trail is all lava rocks and not maintained. You need to look down the entire time so that you don't trip. There were mosquitoes...More

Restrooms are few and far between south of Kona. This is the first public one we run into. Facilities are ok, but work. There is also a trail that we tried part of. Probably interesting but they suggest it would take a couple hours, which...More

This natural wayside park is a tourist attraction for the travellers and is situated at close proximity to the city so it is easily accessible by cabs.

This is more like a rest area with a bbq and clean bathrooms. It's not a park, park. But it is beautiful.

The website is misleading. We thought we were paying for a camp site for 18 dollars per night. When we arrived the sign says no tent or Rv camping. What? This was not mentioned on the website. The arrow that points toward the camp site...More

There are clean composting restrooms, however no overnight camping or parking. No food concessions. This park is about halfway between Pahala and Kailua-Kona. Good place to rest for a short while. There are a few picnic tables. Coming from the south, stop in Ocean View...More

Nothing here to write home about. It's a small park with limited picnic tables however there is a washroom facility if you need a break.
