Terrific outing!

My son and I had a great time on this trip with the Kona Boys. It was an easy paddle over to the Captain Cook monument, and we saw dolphins along the way. Once there we had a nice... read more

My boyfriend and I rented paddle boards from Kona Boys for a day paddle out to the Captain Cook monument (water only, you need a special permit to go on land from a vessel). The paddle boards were great and the guys were very helpful with loading them onto our jeep and provided us with a dry bag for our... More

We rented a kayak from Kona Boys on Jan 8. The guys at the shop were very friendly and helpful and the rental process was easy. However, we were a bit disappointed that, after loading the kayak in our car, we had to drive to the entrance point in Kealakekua Bay. It would be so much easier if Kona Boys... More

I would absolutely recommend both doing this activity (kayak and snorkel Kealakekua Bay) and going with Kona boys. You are only allowed to land a kayak here if you do so with a guided tour. The snorkeling is great - tons of fish and great visibility. And our guides were also great - very friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. This was... More

This tour is highly recommended. Lehe and Morgan were great tour guides. We saw spinner dolphins close up as we ventured to the Captain Cook's monument and once we arrived to the monument, they got us on shore safely. Once we got settled, they gave us some great tips as to where to snorkel and what areas to stay away... More

Had a fantastic time with Tyler of the Kona Boys snorkelling and kayaking at the Captain Cook monument. The team at the shack were very friendly and Tyler, our guide, was fantastic in taking care of us and getting us there and back. A truly memorable experience. The kayaking itself is brilliant, where we were luck to come across a... More

Frank did a great job of explaining the bay and how everything would proceed. We had Joe and Ali's as our guides. They were outstanding in every way. Very friendly with the aloha spirit of the islands. Very attentive to our needs. They use top notch equipment.

Frank, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable about the area. Great service. Only a handful of tour operators have a license to launch kayaks and etc from the public launch, kona boys is one of them. These are the only kayaks that can tie off at captain cook for snorkeling.

We rented kayaks from these guys to check out the snorkeling around Captain Cook monument. We went to their shop and they loaded the kayak on our car for us ... we also got a dry bag and a soft cooler for our adventure. They gave us the documents we needed to legally be allowed in the bay and showed... More
