We chose the snorkel / kayak trip based on the reviews but in hindsight, we were disappointed. Although our guide was awesome the snorkel experience could have been better. Getting into / getting out of the kayak was very cumbersome especially if the water is choppy. Once reaching our location to snorkel, you have to dive off a concrete wall... More

We booked this company for a kayak/snorkel of Kealakekua Bay. We had a great time the scenery was tremendous and we had 2 great guides in Ali'i and Dylan who were knowledgeable about the area. Unfortunately no dolphins the day we were there but can't blame Kona Boys for that! would recommend!

This was a great trip! I am a beginning paddler and this was a really good experience on the water. Ali'i and Dillon are great guides. We had a small tour group and were very well treated. The snorkeling was fantastic at this site.

I don't like guided tours, but it seemed the only way to do what I wanted, which was to kayak to the Captain Cook monument. After discussing the options with Kona Boys, I booked the "Morning Magic " tour. I showed up at 7:15 this morning, and after checking in at their store, I went down to the dock and... More

The timing of this tour, the extra personal attention for booking, signing in, and orientation all contribute to making the Morning Magic kayak paddle and snorkel tour a memorable part of experiencing history and Pacific wonder. Dylan is a knowledgeable guide who knows how to reassure the tentative kayak-er and who works hard both to share this special spot but... More

Eden was a great instructor. She took time and explained everything well. She worked with me at my speed and didn't rush me. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who has never been on a paddle board. The lesson is a bit pricey.

We aren't fans of guided tours, so we preferred to just rent a kayak to explore Kealakakua Bay and see the Captain Cook monument. The Kona Boys stand on Rt 11 in Captain Cook was just the ticket. We were able to rent a 2-person kayak there for $75, which they strapped to the roof of our rental Mustang convertible... More

Great kayak tour/snorkeling and lunch through Kona Boys! Our guide, Dylan, treated our group like we were his personal guests and made sure we had the best experience. He was knowledgeable about the history of the area and the preserve, and aware of our safety at all times. The lunch he brought for us was from the Coffee Shack and... More

Had an amazing time with Justin & Ben who were very knowledgeable about the area and shared stories on the history of the bay. They made the whole afternoon a lot of fun and the snorkeling was great. Would highly recommend to anyone of all ages.
