Great stop and the tour was free as well as being able to sample different coffee flavors. Their coffee is only sold there and made fresh twice a week. There is over a 100 year old coffee trees. You will also see avocado trees, and other fruit trees there. There is also a huge mango tree that is also over... More

This one of the better coffee tours in the area. Booking is not needed and tour groups starting every half hour. Our guide grew up on the coffee farm close to Greenwell Farms and supplied us with first hand info. Despite that I visited many coffee farms in the past, I learned many new facts. All other staff was also... More

Greenwell Farms at first looks like it could be a little hokie but, it turns out to be pretty darn cool. It's a great experience to learn everything that it takes to grow, pick, dry and make coffee......who would have thunk it? Probably not a place you would take the kiddos. I think they would be bored out of their... More

My wife and I visited this coffee grower and roaster during our trip to the Big Island. Call us favorably impressed. Our tour guide from Chicago, Danette, was an encyclopedia of information on coffee. I learned so much on the tour I think I could sit for my PhD in coffee science. The coffee from the farm there was outstanding... More

Stopped by Greenwell coffee farm for a 30-45 minute tour. It was free and very informative tour that taught me how labor and time intensive growing coffee can be. The guide was great and enjoyed interacting with all the people and questioning. Free samples of Kona cofee were offered. I suggest this free tour. You will learn alot.

We just stopped by to try some coffee and were quite impressed. The coffee was very good!!! They also had very good Mac nuts and honey. All of the staff was very friendly and super helpful. They were even helping to point out animals that lived in the trees on the property. Also, if you are missing your pup back... More

If you are going to tour a coffee plantation in the Kona District, why not go to one of the originals from the late 1800's? This is my favorite. Tours every half hour on a working plantation that is fourth-generation family owned and operated. And they produce, process and roast outstanding coffees sold locally (and commercially to Starbucks under their... More

The Greenwell Farms tour was awesome. It was simple, laid back, and informed us of the history of coffee here in the Hawaiian islands! Danielle was the best guide, and all of the staff was hospitable. Fun place for our 5 year old as well. He saw lots of cool stuff too. Great stop, and the tour can be as... More

Stopped by with the family, all adult coffee drinkers and had a wonderful time in a very beautiful setting. Our tour guide was sweet and knowledgeable and made sure we had time to take it all in. This is a long-standing family farm with more than just coffee plants, fruit trees and flowers are everywhere also. You can spend as... More
