Lovely little bay with safe lagoon in which to swim. Safe for little ones. Turtles swim around your feet as you stand in the water. Parking available near by.

Maybe we were spoiled by the beaches on the North west side like Hapuna. This beach did not do it for us. You MUST wear water shoes or some footwear, not for the water but for the all of sharp rocks everywhere else you walk....More

I just loved this beach! Hilo doesnt have the best beaches as compared to Kona, but this was my favorite on the east side. Got to see turtles as well!
