We took a few kids (ages 10 and under) for a movie at the Imiloa Astronomy Center and then went to the Sky Garden Cafe For lunch. The kids had fun with the show and running around the exhibit hall.

Driving to this location (not easily located at the Campus) was our only problem. A nice introduction to to astronomy, though don't sign up for to dome shows, if the 2nd one is going to cover almost everything you learned in the 1st. A very...More

We made a side trip to the astronomy center while in Hilo to beat the heat & change up the scenery. The museum is interactive & modern & admission came with a free short movie of choice.

A small but excellent museum and planetarium, part of the University of Hawaii. An excellent way to spend several hours, especially if it's raining. The "sky show" spent some time on the voyages of the early peoples of the islands and it was fascinating learning...More

This was a great stop for our family - we went specifically for a planetarium show but ended up spending two hours in the exhibits. Enjoyed it!

We were so impressed with the exhibits and presentations that we became members. The exhibits are suited for all ages, with lots of hands-on exhibits. The videos and talks are informative for all levels of knowledge about the sky, stars, and celestial points. After several...More
