This park is very pleasant with pagodas, koi ponds, a few footbridges over the ponds, and a traditional Japanese tea house. It was a nice detour on our walk to downtown Hilo from the cruise port. The view of the bay is quite nice, too.

You can drive down Banyan drive which has majestic banyan trees lining both sides of the road to get to this park. Once there, you can enjoy all the unique little foot bridges among several ponds. It is a great place for a fitness walk...More

This is a very pleasant place to walk around or to just sit and enjoy the scenery. The pond is tidal with a connection to the harbor alongside the park. There is parking, and rest room facilities are available in the garden.

Very nice quiet spot, well maintained, a good place for a run or a stroll. Trees are massive and beautiful.

A picturesque, little gem tucked away from the bustle of Hilo. Very well-maintained and peaceful. Good for taking a break, just a look or for quiet meditation.

I recommend this place up have picnics and to entertain kids since it is spacious and have nice scenery! My nine year old had fun catching little white shrimp. Unfortunately it started to rain and there is not much places to hide and stay dry.

You will need to check with the County of Hawaii to see if you can book a pavilion at the Liliuokalani Gardens.
