Upstream from Rainbow Falls and about 1-mile further up Rainbow Road, these are worth a 15-20- minute stop. Nothing spectacular, but a nice overlook minus the cruise ship crowd you may have encountered at Rainbow Falls.

This is a nice place. The Peʻepeʻe Falls & Rainbow Falls are here. Look out for the Boiling Pots during the hike !

The falls are nice but you need to be able to walk and climb up and down stairs. It is a good place to take a few photos and spend 30 minutes for 5 bucks a car. You get to see several waterfalls. Don't pay a tour guide to take you here. You really need to rent a car to... More

Just 5 minutes above Hilo, Rainbow falls was nice to see. No rainbow to see due to 6, yes 6 inches of rain the night before and falls were really running. After falls, went right on loop to see Boiling pot in river. Then on to Lava tube(didn't stop, forgot flashlight)

If in Hilo just stop. You will see 4 waterfalls without a walk. Parking is ample. Rainbow falls is the best and just 1.5 miles up are the Boiling Pots and PeePee falls. Just go!

Nice waterfalls but not as accessible as others. You can get closer with other ones in the area. Nice photo spot.

Nice falls and Banyan trees all surrounded by tropical forest just minutes from downtown Hilo, take your time to walk the trails and watch the ponds over the falls, we saw people swimming there (in our previous visit) and looks like an awesome thing to do if you dare!

You can hike up to the top of the falls, see the banyan tree or simply take pictures at the view point. Don't try to take selfies when at the cliffs edge.

The water falls and the sound was just so awesome. Trees look like a post card. The entire setting looks like a National Geographic magazine add the sound to it and actually being there, tough to beat. Could spend the entire day there. Free parking, not to be missed.
