There are so many stalls selling the same local produce, how can they compete! Colorful fruits, vegs, local delicacies. It’s a tourist and a locals market by the looks of it. One side of the street is more the food side, the other side is...More

We found this to be a good spot to get some souvenirs and a hearty lunch. Plenty of choice for both. Well worth a visit if you are there when it is open.

I always enjoy a stroll through the farmers market. Always something I don't need but want it anyway. All the workers are very friendly and willing to help. The only place on the island I can find spinner rings in my size.

Grocery prices have skyrocketed on the big island since senator inouye died. People are very tight even when shopping at this bustling local market.

It was interesting walking through the market. On Saturday, both sides of the market are full of vendors. The main market is for local produce, fresh fruits and vegetables, and tropical flowers from the local farmers. It was amazing to see all the different types...More

If you’re here on a Wednesday, you’ll find stalls on both sides of the street with sellers of fresh fruit and veggies, Hawaiian fast food (like poke), art, gifts, etc.

Love buying food from the farmers. The prices are generally reasonable and the choices are varied. It's fun to see the diverse foods available.

The Hilo Farmers Market is covered with tarps and the indoor food court is inside a building. Thank you for your question and hope to see you there soon.
