Have a picnic there, watch the strong waves attack the beautiful large masses of volcanic rock formations in this area.Get a sun tan. It has a real nice little pond just off the road as you walk down to the rocks and the beach area....More

A local waitress told us about this park and it was beautiful and the water was crystal clean. It is also protected water so it wasnt so rough like other parks or beaches in Hilo. Even had rails to get in and out of water...More

We stopped by in the afternoon around 2pm. I was very keen to see some turtles and certainly found some. We walked a little around the corner through the rock pools and found a large pool with 4 green sea turtles in it. There was...More

This park was really nice, it had a little museum type area with a couple traditional huts and it also had a little stream running through it. Very relaxing and it had a great view of the sunset.

There is only one word for this park, beautiful. we were lucky that there were two turtles chilling out on the beach when we were there. Note: If you are short on time, this is the park to go to. The other parks are about...More

Enjoy the black sand and various options. Just down the road from downtown and you get to observe snorkeling, paddling, outriggers and people fishing.
