We had the pleasure of biking the rim of Kilauea volcano with Mike and Priddy. Mike is a knowledgeable guide, who provides information about both the volcano and the surrounding forest. Priddy, who drove the support and gear (SAG) van, provides local cultural and historical information. Between them, you get a great amount of information as well as a beautiful... More

Flight was delayed multiple times, then canceled the day before our tour. Tried changing the tour day/cancel to get a refund, but our calls went straight to voicemail. And when we landed and contacted them again, they said we could not be added onto another tour nor could we be refunded through Viator. So we paid ~$300 for a tour... More

This customer failed to mention that they attempted to contact the Bike Volcano reservation office after our normal operating hours (7am - 7pm Hawaii Time) the night prior to their tour date. On the morning of their scheduled tour, we did receive a couple of messages from this customer stating that their airline flight to the island from the United... More

We really enjoyed our day with Mike and Pretty. They are both knowledgeable and engaging. They accommodated the wide range of age and abilities in the group effectively. The tour provided us with an great overview of Volcano National Park. There was a good balance of biking and viewing with lots of information, including tips on things to follow up... More

I did a bike tour with Bike Volcano during my stay in Volcano National Park. Our tour leader, Mike, was upbeat and very knowledgable. He and his driver-assistant had the bikes ready to go and followed us with a van. We did some biking and saw some interesting parts of the park. Ultimately, however, I did not feel the whole... This reviewer joined us for the Full Day Bike Adventure, where we bike around the erupting summit crater, bike through a native Hawaiian rain forest, hike through a lava tube, and see a variety of others craters on a 15 mile bike adventure. The Full Day Tour tour course includes biking 7 miles down the Chain of Craters Road. Due... More

I booked 2 weeks in advance. After getting my credit card information and taking my reservation, i was told to be sure and call the day before to make sure the tour would run. After making plane reservations and hotel for three, I called the day before and was told that they werent sure if there would be enough people... More

We advise all of our customers who are flying over for the day from another island to first booked themselves on a confirmed tour date then place their airline and hotel reservations. In addition, we offer a FLY, BIKE, & VOLCANO package if you prefer for us to make your flight arrangements. As this customer stated he was informed at... More

Had Mike and Mick yesterday for the full day bike tour (3 hours of the 5 hours on and off bike) of the Volcano National Park. Mike is a fun guy and the trip was good. Mick was informative. I have to say that I don't know how I booked the Non-lava flow tour but we saw Pele from a... More

If getting as close as possible to lava is your goal then our Bike to Lava is the tour to choose. The Bike to Lava tour goes directly to the Kamokuna Ocean entry point of the active lava flow. Our morning Bike to Pele tour includes lunch (gluten free choices available) and the afternoon tour includes heavy snacks. On Bike... More

Let me start by saying our guide was great and we did have fun. But, you're not seeing anything on the bike tour that you couldn't see if you drive around to the different parts of the park. So, you're basically paying $150 per person (after tax) for the guide and to ride a bike downhill. On the advice of... More

Mahalo for your review of Bike Volcano's GUIDED Full Day Bike Adventure of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Yes, visitors are welcome to visit the National Park by car. However, this reviewer is incorrect in stating that you will see the same sites on our guided bicycle tours as you would in a car as we bike on off road trail... More

We did this tour while docked at Hilo on our Norwegian cruise. Mike (our tour guide) and Pretty (our driver) promptly met us at the port. The day was full of bike riding adventures, information and picturesque scenery. This was definitely the highlight of our vacation and the memories will last a lifetime! The tour guides definitely made the trip... More
