Made a short trip to see the Lava with a friend. Spectacular, make sure to take a camera. Recommend going at dusk so you can observe in day light and after dark.

It is always impressive to visiting Pele. It's like looking into Mother Earth's belly. I usually visit the Big Island every other year and the volcanoes are always on my itinerary.

When we went past the lava flow in our ship the flow was not at its best but even so it was just wonderful and well worth the visit. If you haven't seen a lava flow in the flesh then this is for you.
