This was a great little zoo, and definitely would be more enjoyable with a family or small kids, but we enjoyed our walk through. Gardens are a bit of a misnomer - there is a Garden Society that keeps several small gardens on site...pretty, but...More

Don’t let the ‘free’ part throw you off. This was a nice surprise in a place where everything seems expensive. This was a great little zoo with a surprising variety of animals. The best part was the tropical rain forest setting with an amazing range...More

My wife and I are in our 60s and were very pleasantly surprised at this little zoo run by the county, admission was free (donations requested). It took about an hour to stroll the grounds and we were very impressed at the variety of tropical...More

We spent about 2 hours at the zoo. It is free and open to the public but donations are welcome. It is within a tropical rain forest and may be the only zoo in the 50 states located within a tropical rain forest. The grounds...More

This zoo is small but very cute with varied things to do especially for children. However we went during a downpour which made it difficult to enjoy what it had to offer. It is free and has a small gift shop.

The zoo wasn't a planned part of our trip but we decided to stop in one morning when we didn't have a lot going on. It turned out to be one of our favorite things we saw on the island. It's a beautiful zoo and...More

The RainForest Zoo is a great place for adults with or without children to spend a few hours. It has a nicely paved walkway, good for both strollers or wheelchairs. Most of the animals don't really represent the rainforest, but it was fun to see....More

Aloha - its about a 15 minute drive from the cruise port. You will need a taxi or a rental car. Its near the Macadamia nut factory (farm) as well so you may want to see both while you are out there.
