If you're wandering around Hilo then this is a cute little place. Don't go out of your way to visit, but if you're in the area then picnic lunch here would be delightful. We even had a couple of turtles swim around nearby while we...More

Go to Kawamoto's and buy a big mixed box of cone sushi, fried fish, musubi and other island delights and picnic here ocean bay front for the best Bay view. Cost $25-30 for the food and all the utensils feeds 4. Excellent local experience!
This little island is cute in a touristy way but is guaranteed to be crowded and offers nothing particularly special. Walk on over if your hotel is nearby but don't bother otherwise.
